Deborah woke up with a headache. The side of her face hurt. She opened her eyes and everything was dark. She tried moving but her hands and legs were tied. She tried screaming but it was muffled by the cloth covering her mouth. She heard the door opening and voices. The bright light came on and blinded her. In comes Nelson and Wilma. Deborah's eyes widened. Now she remembered, Nelson dragged her here and punched her. But Wilma, what was she doing here. Would she save her? That thought went away when Wilma started laughing. "You did a great job, Nelson. And in plain daylight."

"Who would've thought she would go into that part of the park? I still don't know what she was doing there, there's nothing there."

Wilma walked to Deborah and removed the gag. "What do you want with me?" Deborah asked, scared.

"I've given you enough chances to go away and stay away. But you keep coming back. We are going to have to make you disappear permanently. Hate for you to suffer your mother's fate."

"You remind me of the love of my life." Nelson said as he caressed her leg and she jumped. "So pretty and spicy, just like you. I am going to have so much fun."

"You can't, Nelson. Not with this one." Wilma quickly said.

"That wasn't the deal!"

"You can't touch her that way."

"Why not?"

"She's your daughter."

"What?" Deborah cried.

"Are you serious?" Nelson asked, looking at Deborah. "How?"

"Don't say names, but you know the love of your life? That's her daughter right there, the one she died having after you raped her."

"You raped my mother!" Deborah said as he slapped her hard.

"You are a monster, Wilma! Why did you hated her so much? She never did anything to you."

"Yes she did and she did to you too. You don't remember how she broke your heart, stomp on it? And she took the only man I've ever loved. I hope you don;t get too attached to this one too."

"What are you planning for her?"

"Let her suffer for a while longer until I decide." Wilma placed the gag back on. "Let's get out of here."

And they turned off the light and locked the door behind them. What was she going to do? Will she survive this? Why didn't she listen to Shawn? Why did she have to go by herself to see Gina? Nelson was her father! He raped her mother and Wilma knew all this. What a horrible woman.

The next morning, Shawn arrived at the cabin. He knocked on the door and got no answer. He used his key and entered. "Deborah? It's me. Are you here?" He looked around the cabin and didn't find her. Maybe she called a cab and got a ride to the diner. He got back in his car and drove to the diner. He didn't see her outside, he opened and waited. Customers started to come in. He was handling the kitchen and the front at the same time. She was nowhere. Did she really leave town? Without an explanation or a goodbye?

When the rush died down, he finally sat down. Carl's brother had shown up to help him out. As he took a breather, Gina walked in looking around. She sat in a booth disappointed. Shawn went to her booth and sat across from her. Gina looked up surprised and was about to stand up and leave, but Shawn grabbed her hand. "Gina, wait. Are you looking for Deborah?"

"Is that the young waitress?"

"Yes, the one you gave the letter to yesterday."

"Do you know if she read it?"

"She did. I saw her. I read it too."

She removed her hand from under his and placed it on her lap. She looked at the table. "Do you know if she was planning on meeting me?"

"I got to tell you, that was a sketchy address you gave her. Nobody goes into that part of the park. It's overrun with trees."

"That's the back entrance to my house." She whispered.

"Oh. I think she was thinking of going, but I pushed her too much not to go."

"Why? You think I would've done something to her? I'm just a poor old lady. I know everyone calls me a witch, but I can assure you I am not."

"No, it wasn't  because of you. I worry about her, and she's not from around here. So, I wanted her to be safe. I offered to go with her, but she didn't take my offer."

"Oh. dear. Do you think she went by herself and something happened to her? I did hear some commotion in the wooded area yesterday. Is that why she's not here today?"

"Around what time?" Shawn said, getting up.

"It was a couple of hours after I left."

"Come on, let's go. Take me to that path."

They crossed to the park and Gina led him to the path. She moved the branches and went in. He followed her close. "It was from around here I heard the commotion, it sounded like arguing, two people." Shawn looked at the ground, he could see a couple of footprints but not formed ones. Then he saw something shiny. He picked it up and it was Deborah's bracelet. "Is that hers?"

"Yes. Somebody took her, somebody was watching and somebody took her. All this time I was thinking of giving her space and I should've been watching her!"

"Go to the police and report it now."

"I will. Go back to your house. I'll let you know if I find out anything, okay?"

"Okay, dear. Go!"
