Chapter 4 - As expected, everyone hates me
Rayleigh's POV
When I walked into the classroom, I was greeted by groans and angry glares from my classmates. I think I know why.
Rayleigh is a weirdo who gives creepy smiles while talking nonsense about talent and other offensive racist shit he could even say. I sighed inwardly, wondering if I could survive this in an entire year. Seriously, I really just want to get out of this school. he
I just sat in my seat in silence and tapped my fingers on the table, waiting for the teacher to arrive.
I can still feel the eyes around me, which makes me wiggle my toes with impatience now. Rayleigh, why the hell are you a bastard? Now look what you put me through.
The celebration will start later, I don't know what time it will actually start, but I knew the event would be in the morning.
Now that I come to think of it, back to the novel where the fire incident happened. Vanessa was also partially responsible for this incident, she used Rayleigh to cover up her actions, so she was not a suspect. I felt sorry for those three students who were expelled, I think they became an embarrassment to their families. Those three were nobles, I could tell they were such good kids, I hope they got justice.
I remember how Rayleigh and Vanessa met back then. They met at the fountain outside the first floor of the academy. During that time, there was an event where different classes competed against each other. Back then it was Sportsfest...
I should also avoid meeting this woman, I know I might be changing history, but my life is on the line here. My life is my priority. Knowing that there will be many disasters that happen here, I can't help but shudder at the thought.
Of all the novels I have to go, I reincarnated in one that is full of violence. I remember how the novel stated during Rayleigh's weeks in prison, Alex joined in the torture by beating Rayleigh to a pulp, which he almost died of. This protagonist is also a maniac! He's violent as fuck if crossed.
Definitely... I should definitely avoid him..
I would even run away when I saw him.
In the beginning, he was your typical heroic nice guy, but once you get to the final chapters... don't even ask. Well, he's a nice guy to nice people, but he's a monster to his enemies. He is not like some heroes who give the villain a chance to live and repent for his sins, instead he tortures and then kills them as if they are not human. 11
"Sr. Greyhound?...."
"Rayleigh..."
"Rayleigh?"
"Rayleigh!!!"
"Huh? What the-" I got up from the loud clatter at my desk and came face to face with a beautiful brown haired woman in front of me.
Mylene Fitzrobert, our kind and caring teacher. I remember how the novel expressed the pity and sadness in her eyes as she saw Rayleigh publicly executed. I think it would be good if I stayed close to that person. It's nice to have someone who isn't giving you the dirty looks and stuff.
"Stop rambling during class." she sighs and hits my head with a book.
What?... Has class started yet?...
Was I pulling away too long?
I look at Mrs. Mylene again. As far as I know, she's single, doesn't have a family yet. She lives with her parents, both of whom are kind and loving like her. I think she goes with their personality. But never mind that, at least I found a certain person I feel safe with. At least a little bit, I felt less tense despite the atmosphere everyone was giving me.
