Rayleigh's POV

How people cause commotion around the place. I can't help but sigh with relief. Earlier, I was doubting whether they will believe my lie or not. I have to admit, my acting was sloppy. That's why I was one hundred percent sure that I would be arrested.

But it turns out they believed me and I didn't expect that.

We both waited until Simon was gone. Just when the mage and I were about to flee, another mishap came my way.

"What's going on here?" Kyles said in a somber tone. The aura around him was too frightening for everyone to handle. I blanched at this unexpected turn of events.

He seems to be in a bad mood. I bet he's exhausted from his mission and his schoolwork. This is bad. He can have us. watched the whole time and was able to see right through my lie. This guy is smart, there's no way he could have believed in that performance.

I sighed with relief.
