Chapter 40-Simon Davis
Rayleigh's POV
Now that we have arrived at Kureiryon. I think I should do my job. Now I'm here at some event, getting delicious food and stuff.
We're just here to cheer on our competitors, but they've done us a great job. I know this was written in the novel, but I find it new when experienced in real life.
Not only students are here, but adults are also invited.
Wow, this novel is so unreal. Twelve classes (literally everyone in each class) were sent to a different country and the school paid for it. We also have an excellent hotel to stay in, which is one of the most expensive places in the country. If this were the real world, no sane human would do this. We even got a week-long tour of the country. I can't believe everyone was complete, all the parents agreed so easily.
As I ate dessert, something came to mind. Hideo Akhira, one of the strongest people in this novel. The fact that I don't know his features worries me. In the story, they just defined him as someone who wears a mask and a black robe. Before becoming a villain, he was just an excellent student at the academy.
Unfortunately, Vanessa found him interesting. Because of Hideo's abilities, she realized that it would be of great benefit to her if he was on their side. In Kureiryon, Hideo was someone who used to be bullied by other people. As his grandfather was an evil wizard, the Akehira family was looked down upon. Whenever people see your face they are usually egg or rock thrown, sometimes even worse. When Vanessa discovered this information, she hatched a plan.
She ordered her minions to kill Hideo's family. She made him believe that the people in Kureiryon killed them. Of course Hideo believed it. After all, these people are the ones who held a grudge against them. He was driven by rage and reach. He thought it was unfair, just because of his grandfather's bad deeds, they had to be treated like garbage. Hideo just wanted to prove that they're not like their grandfather. But when he saw the dead bodies of his family, his perception changed.
Hideo slaughtered the people who treated them like shit. Because of this, Vanessa was able to brainwash him. Turning him into a kind of exterminator.
I want to prevent that from happening. It would be dangerous. If he becomes a villain, his first targets are the academy's students. Normally, Hideo doesn't go that far, but since he's been brainwashed, he's nothing but an emotionless killing machine.
Originally it was my plan not to get involved and leave the rest to the characters. But some things are changing in the novel. I can't be sure if the future will still be the same. At that time, Sky and I were attacked by Vanessa's minions. This should not happen. Because in the original novel, nobody was attacked because there were no witnesses. But how did Sky and I become the witnesses? How did Vanessa's minions arrive before the day I expected? And how did they manage to escape and attack us during the musical show?
I could only think of one thing. And, of course, that was because of the small changes I made. This caused a different outcome in the future.
I shouldn't have taken this lightly. I was careless.
Before the final disaster happened, Hideo, Rayleigh and Chloe attacked the school. They will attack at the end of the talent show. After that, they will attack some noble families. Well, I can't take that risk, can I?
When I checked this school's schedule, the talent show was two months away. But I don't know if everything will happen like in the soap opera. Disaster may occur sooner like what happened before.
I must find Hideo and bring him to the good side. With his great abilities, he could help defend the school and prevent further disasters.
But the problem is, I don't know what he looks like, because the novel didn't state what he looks like. When Rayleigh first met Hideo, he was already wearing a mask. No one knew her face except Vanessa.
