Jaden had arrived at Olivine City for his next Gym battle. But, he would be in for a shock.
Jaden headed to the Pokemon Centre to rest up and organize his Pokemon, then he headed to the gym and found it closed.
There was a sign on the door.
Jaden: Closed huh? Why?
He asked around and found out that the gym leader was in the lighthouse. So he went there.
He entered the lighthouse and saw someone.
Jaden: Um, hello?
???: Hello? Can I help you?
Jaden: I'm looking for the gym leader.
Jasmine: That's me. I'm Jasmine. Have you seen the sign on the door?
Jaden: Yeah. I was wondering why it's closed.
Jasmine: The whole city has a power failure.
Jaden: Power failure?
Jasmine: Yeah. This lighthouse powers the city and it's currently down. That means I can't attend to my gym leader duties. If you want, you can head to Cianwood City to challenge them. By then, the lighthouse should be up and running again.
Jaden: Thank you. I'll be back.
Jaden left the lighthouse and left Olivine City.
Jaden had Arcanine, Espeon, Quilava, Dragonair, Noctowl and Croconaw.
Jaden left Olivine City and realized the pathway to Cianwood City: was by water.
Jaden: How are we meant to get across?
Then he saw a boat.
Jaden: Excuse me?
Fisherman: Yes?
Jaden: Could you possibly take me to Cianwood City?
Fisherman: Of course. I was on my way there anyway. I take it you're a trainer.
Jaden: I am, yes.
Fisherman: Hop aboard then.
Jaden: Thanks.
Jaden boarded the boat and set sail.

Jaden travelled the sea and stopped at the harbour.
He exited the boat.
Jaden: Okay. Let's see if the gym is open.
Jaden's next gym battle wasn't what he was anticipating, but he eventually will have one, but in Cianwood City.
