After talking to an unknown trainer, Jaden was cheered up and decided to challenge the gym while Arcanine was resting.

The next day...
Jaden sorted out his Pokemon and headed straight there.
He knocked on the door and was surprised to see who answered.
Jaden: It's you. From yesterday.
Pryce: I've been expecting you. I'm Pryce, the Gym Leader. Come on in.
Jaden entered the gym and they stood on their respective sides of the battlefield.
The battlefield was a frozen field of water with an entrance in the centre and ice spikes across.
Jaden: I didn't expect you to be the gym leader.
Pryce: Yep. I specialize in ice types. So, I take it you've come here to win?
Jaden: Of course.
Pryce: But let me tell you, I don't lose so easily, especially since I'm battling with my partner.
Jaden: Well, my partner may not be here but he's cheering me on. So, shall we begin?
Pryce: I thought you'd never ask.
Referee: This gym battle between Pryce, the Gym Leader and Jaden the challenger will now begin. This will be a two-on-two battle. The battle will be over when one side's Pokemon are unable to continue. Furthermore, the challenger is allowed to make substitutions. Now, bring out your first Pokemon.
Pryce: Alright, go Sneasel!
Jaden: A Sneasel?
Pokedex: Sneasel, the Sharp Claw Pokemon. Sneasel scales trees by punching its hooked claws into the bark. This Pokemon seeks out unguarded nests and steals eggs for food while the parents are away.
Jaden: An ice and dark type. Go Houndoom!
Pryce: A fire type. Now surprising.
Referee: Let the battle begin.
Pryce: Sneasel, use Hone Claws!
Sneasel raised its attack and accuracy.
Jaden: Houndoom, use Double Team!
Houndoom made illusionary copies of itself and surrounded Sneasel.
Pryce: Alright Sneasel, skate on the ice and use Icy Wind!
Sneasel skated on the ice, confusing Houndoom. As it skated, Sneasel released a gust of chilled air.
The Houndoom copies were cold and started to vanish.
Jaden: Houndoom, use Incinerate!
Pryce: Sneasel, crank it up!
As Houndoom was ready to attack, Sneasel turned up the intensity and released more chilling air. This caused Houndoom to be too cold to attack.
Jaden: No Houndoom!
Pryce: Now Sneasel, use Slash!
Sneasel skated towards Houndoom and slashed using its claws. Houndoom took a hit and slid into a block of ice.
Jaden: Get up, Houndoom!
Houndoom was struggling to get up as it was icy and too slippery.
Pryce: Sneasel, use Ice Beam!
Sneasel released a beam of ice at Houndoom.
Jaden: Use Incinerate!
Houndoom fought back with fire. The moves collided and resulted in an explosion.
Pryce: What happened? Sneasel? Are you okay?
The smoke cleared and Houndoom was gone. Sneasel exclaimed in astonishment.
Pryce: What? Where's Houndoom?!
Jaden: Use Double Team!
Houndoom made copies of itself.
Pryce: This again. Use Ice Beam on them all!
