Jaden and Arcanine had to go through Mt. Mortar to get to Mahogany Town.
Jaden healed up his Pokemon to battle any trainers he encountered.
Jaden wandered through the cave for some time before he found his first opponent. A hiker.
Trainer: Go Graveler!
Jaden: Go Feraligatr! Use Swords Dance!
Feraligatr raised its attack.
Trainer: Quick, use Rock Throw!
Jaden: Use Slash!
Feraligatr cut through the rock that was thrown.
Trainer: Use Rock Throw back to back!
Graveler kept throwing rocks at Feraligatr.
Jaden: Keep using Slash!
Feraligatr kept cutting through with its claws and knocking them away with its tail.
Trainer: Graveler, use Rock Polish!
Graveler raised its speed.
Jaden: Use Water Pulse!
Feraligatr fired a pulse of water.
Trainer: Dodge it!
Graveler dodged the attack.
Jaden: That was fast. Rock Polish did a number on its speed.
Trainer: Now use Rollout!
Graveler rolled up into a sphere shape and rolled towards Feraligatr.
Jaden: Feraligatr, use Water Pledge!
Feraligatr slammed its foot on the ground and pillars of water burst out from the ground. Feraligatr landed a super-effective hit on Graveler and was blasted into the wall behind.
Trainer: Graveler, get back in there!
Graveler wobbly got back to its feet.
Jaden: Use Water Pulse!
Feraligatr fired a pulse of water at Graveler and landed another super-effective hit. Graveler was defeated.
Trainer: Graveler no!
Jaden: Good job, Feraligatr.
Feraligatr exclaimed with excitement.
Trainer: Return Graveler. Get some rest.
Jaden: Feraligatr return. Get some rest.

Trainer: Go Bayleef!
Jaden: A grass-type. Go Ariados! Use Scary Face!
Ariados made a scary face which lowered Bayleef's speed.
Trainer: Bayleef, use Razor Leaf!
Jaden: Ariados, dodge and use X-Scissor!
Ariados dodged the sharp-edged leaves and slashed Bayleef by crossing its front two feet like scissors and landed a super-effective hit.
Trainer: No Bayleef!
Jaden: Now use Poison Jab!
Araidos came charging in.
Trainer: Use Magical Leaf!
Bayleef scattered curious leaves which landed a direct hit on an incoming Ariados.
Jaden: No Ariados!
Trainer: Now use Double Team!
Bayleef made illusionary copies of itself and surrounded Ariados.
Jaden: We're surrounded.
Trainer: Use Razor Leaf!
The Bayleef copies fired sharp-edged leaves and landed a hit on Ariados. The Bayleef copies disappeared.
Jaden: Stay strong, Ariados!
Trainer: It's over. Bayleef, use Razor Leaf!
Jaden: Ariados, dodge it!
Ariados dodged the attack in time.
Trainer: No way.
Jaden: Good job, Ariados. Huh?
Suddenly, Ariados was doing something. Ariados was trying something similar to X-Scissor.
Jaden: Is that Cross Poison?
Trainer: Bayleef, use Body Slam!
Bayleef jumped and was falling toward Ariados.
Jaden: Ariados, use Cross Poison!
Ariados dodged the falling Bayleef and crossed its front feet together to create an X.
Ariados landed a super-effective hit. Bayleef was defeated.
Trainer: No Bayleef!
Jaden: Nice job, Ariados. Return and get a good rest.
Trainer: Return Bayleef. Rest easy.
Jaden and Arcanine carried on through Mt. Mortar and eventually found the exit.
They exited Mt. Mortar and arrived at Mahogany Town.
Jaden: Come on. Let's go.
