Chapter 87: The Day Before.

Jaden has now defeated all members of the Elite Four. Now, his final opponent will be Lance.

Can Jaden get the better of his opponent?

Jaden was training with his Pokemon, checking out which ones he was going to use against Lance.

They were each taking turns to attack trees.

Jaden: Alright, good. Nice job, you guys. Return and get some rest. Let's check the others out.

Jaden swapped the Pokemon he had for the remaining ones.

Jaden: Go guys! Attack!

All the Pokemon managed to land an attack.

Jaden: Good job, guys. Rest easy for now.

Jaden returned to the Pokemon Centre and decided to call Cynthia.

Cynthia answered.

Jaden: Hi Cynthia.
Cynthia: Hello Jaden. Congratulations, you've made it to the final match.
Jaden: Thanks.
Cynthia: So, have you decided which Pokemon you're using?
Jaden: Yes. I was just finishing deciding who to use.
Cynthia: Good. But the ones you've left out, you can leave with me and I can give you the ones you need. Or, your mother will do that.
Jaden: Thanks. Here's the Pokemon I won't be using.

Jaden and Cynthia exchanged Pokemon, or he and his mother.

Cynthia: What are you doing to do until then?
Jaden: The usual stuff. Training and resting.
Cynthia: I see. But don't overdo it, okay?
Jaden: I won't.
Cynthia: I'll see you when the match starts.
Jaden: Thanks. Bye Cynthia, love you.
Cynthia: Bye Jaden. Love you, too.

The call ended.

After a few days of training and resting, the day finally arrived.

Jaden and Lance were ready to enter the field.

Announcer: Welcome everyone to the match where everything will be decided! It's the Johto champion Lance against the ever-growing trainer, Jaden!

Jaden and Lance walked out.

Cynthia: Good luck, Jaden. Do your best.

Here we are. Jaden against Lance. Who will prevail?
