Jaden won the Forest Badge after defeating Gardenia.
Jaden and Arcanine were ready to leave the Pokemon Centre, but he decided to switch up his team.
He called Professor Oak.
Prof. Oak: Hello Jaden, I'm guessing you want to transfer some Pokemon?
Jaden: Correct. I'd like to send Electabuzz back.
Prof. Oak: Okay. Anyone else?
Jaden: I'd like to send Grotle over so it can train with Venusaur.
Prof. Oak: I see your Turtwig evolved. That's good news. Very well, send them over.
Jaden transferred Grotle and Electabuzz to Professor Oak.
Prof. Oak: Would you like any Pokemon from here?
Jaden: I'm good. Thanks, Professor. Bye.
Prof. Oak: Bye for now.
The call ended and they left the Pokemon Centre.

They left Eterna City and it was usual training.
Trainer: Pikachu, go!
Jaden: I choose Cranidos! Cranidos, Headbutt!
Cranidos led with its head and charged.
Trainer: Pikachu, Quick Attack!
Pikachu lunged at the incoming Cranidos.
Both Pokemon clashed head-on with Pikachu taking more damage.
Trainer: Pikachu, no!
Jaden: Headbutt, again!
Cranidos attacked again.
Trainer: Pikachu, Double Team!
Pikachu made illusionary copies of itself to confuse Cranidos.
Trainer: Tail Whip!
Pikachu lowered Cranidos' defence.
Trainer: Quick Attack!
All of the Pikachu lunged at Cranidos and landed direct hits.
Jaden: Cranidos, use Headbutt on the ground!
Cranidos slammed its head on the ground, which created a mini earthquake.
The mini earthquake caused all the illusionary copies of Pikachu to disappear.
Trainer: Oh no.
Jaden: Now, Take Down!
Cranidos attacked with a reckless, full-body charge and landed a direct hit.
Pikachi was defeated.
Trainer: Pikachu, return.
Jaden: Nice work, Cranidos. Return.

Trainer: I choose you, Krickitune!
Jaden: A Krickitune. Cranidos, go! Use Headbutt!
Cranidos charged and led with its head.
Trainer: Krickitune, use Absorb!
Krickitune absorbed some Cranidos' energy and caused Cranidos to slow down.
It was super-effective.
Trainer: Now, Fury Cutter!
Krickitune slashed Cranidos using its claws and landed a hit.
Jaden: Quick, Crunch!
Cranidos latched its jaws onto Krickitune's claws and dealt damage.
Trainer: Get it off, Krickitune!
Krickitune tried to get Cranidos off its claws using its remaining claw to continuously attack, but Cranidos stood firm.
Jaden: Cranidos, throw Krickitune in the air!
Cranidos threw Krickitune in the air.
Jaden: Now, Headbutt!
Cranidos lept into Krickitune's path as it falls.
Trainer: Krickitune, Fury Cutter!
Krickitune readied its claws for the incoming Cranidos.
Both Pokemon collided in the air.
Trainer: Krickitune!
Jaden: You okay, Cranidos?
Both Pokemon were on the ground, but Cranidos was the only one standing.
Krickitune was defeated.
Trainer: Krickitune, return. Buizel!
Jaden: Buizel?
Pokedex: Buizel, the Sea Weasel Pokemon. When air fills the floatation sac on its neck, the sac balloons like an inner tube. This Pokemon floats with its head out of the water.
Jaden: Cranidos, return. Staravia, go! Staravia, use Aerial Ace!
Staravia soared down toward Buizel with amazing speed.
Trainer: Buizel, Aqua Jet!
Buizel lunged at Staravia with great speed as it was covered in water and attacked like a jet.
Both Pokemon clashed head-on and dealt damage to the other.
Trainer: Water Gun!
Buizel blasted a powerful shot of water.
Jaden: Staravia, Double Team!
Staravia made illusionary copies of itself and caused Buizel's attack to miss.
Trainer: Spin and use Water Gun!
Buizel spun around whilst blasting a powerful shot of water.
Buizel eliminated all the Staravia copies and landed a direct hit on the real one.
Trainer: Quick, use Swift!
Buizel attacked star-shaped rays and landed another hit.
Jaden: Aerial Ace!
Staravia attacked with great speed.
Trainer: Buizel, Aqua Jet!
Buizel cloaked itself in water and lunged at Staravia like a jet.
Jaden: Now, spin!
Staravia, as it attacked, spun around like Buizel did before.
Both Pokemon clashed and Buizel was the one who came off worse and took damage.
Jaden: Finish with Quick Attack!
Staravia lunged at a weakened Buizel and landed a direct hit.
Buizel was defeated.
Trainer: Buizel, return. Thanks for your hard work.
Jaden: Staravia, return. Get a good rest.

It didn't take long before Jaden and Arcanine found themselves in the face of another cave.
Jaden: Let's go.
They headed inside.
The cave wasn't anything difficult to navigate and they found the exit pretty much straight away.
But.. trouble was near.
Arcanine heard some noises coming from another direction.
Jaden: What's wrong?
Arcanine ran off and Jaden followed.
Jaden and Arcanine found a troubling situation with a Pokemon in danger.
There were some Mightyena ganging up on a Pokemon.
Jaden: Who's that?
Pokedex: Buneary, the Rabbit Pokemon. It slams foes by sharply uncoiling its rolled ears. It stings enough to make a grown-up cry in pain.
What's worse is that the cave above them was crumbling and was about to fall.
