Machoke blocked the sharp-edged leaves using its muscle packed arms.

Grotle began doing something unusual.

Grotle attacked using big vines from below and wrapped themselves around Machoke, landing a direct hit.
Grotle was absorbing Machoke's energy and restoring its own.
Trainer: Machoke, you've got to get free!
Machoke was trying to break free from the vines and succeeded.
Jaden: Razor Leaf!
Grotle attacked with sharp-edged leaves.
Trainer: Charge and use Karate Chop!
Machoke charged through the barrage of sharp-edged leaves and struck with a sharp chop, dealing damage.
Jaden: Grotle, Energy Ball!
Grotle drawed in power from nature and attacked.
Machoke took a direct hit at close range.
Trainer: Machoke, no!
Machoke was defeated.
Trainer: Machoke, return. Go, Krickitune!
Jaden: Grotle, return. Cranidos, let's go! Use Headbutt!
Cranidos attacked and led with its head.
Trainer: Krickitune, Bug Bite!
Krickitune bit Cranidos on its tail and dealt damage.
Jaden: Throw Krickitune away!

Cranidos attacked with a reckless, life-risking tackle.

Krickitune, when Cranidos was close enough, created an X using its two knife-like arms and slashed.
Cranidos and Krickitune clashed and neither one was backing down.
Trainer: X-Scissor!
Krickitune pushed Cranidos away and began to slash again.
