Layla was looking through books, hoping to find a map of the things around the orphanage. She sometimes stopped and listened to make sure no one was coming in the room anytime soon, but it was night after all. She now noticed how beautiful the room was, it looked like a libary from a fantasy movie, but royal at the same time. While she walked around admiring the libary, she walked straigh into a map section, hidden in one of the coners of the room.

She walked over and looked thought the maps. Starting to close hope, she heard something... something that sounded like a footstep, she turned to the door, seeing a shadow behind the door about to come in!

Layla quietly ran to bookselves and hid behind them. The door opend, she could see a figure looking around, the figure started moving around the libary, Layla moved when the person was getting a chance to see her. Suddenly Layla hit a corner of the bookself, a book fell down, but she caught it in time and placed it down slowly. Now realising she couldnt go any where anymore, and the figure was getting close, she could hear by the footsteps.

The figure moved closer and closer, knowing someone was there, some where... the person looked to the floor seeing a book there, then looked up smirking "got you now" the person whispered. When the person looked, they could see a wall and the bookself closing anyway out of the corner, but there was nothing else then books laying on the ground, like they fell... The person picked them up and placed them back on the self, then turned and walked back out of the room surprised and confused. When the person walked out the door the light of the hallway showed the person, Layla now saw it was Margret. She waited a little, making sure Margret wouldnt come back for a while. She looked around the room, now from a higher spot. She noticed something strange at one of the paintings hanging close to the mad section.

She then jumped down from the bookself, walking over to the painting. She touched around the painting trying to find something, finally finding a wierd button at the side of the painting, she pressed it, there was a click. Layla now opend the painting like a door, finding a secreft self. She looked thought the papirs, finding folders with names on them, she took a folder and looked at the name, Evelyn she read, she took the next one Jackie. Layla now looked for hers guessing there was one, she found it and opend it. She found her personal information, like her race and how she got to the orphanage. She then found a letter, she looked at it, and read it.

*Dear orphanage

Please take care of my little girl, cause i cant, its to dangerous for her. Her name is Layla, she is a half race, im sure you will find out what 2 halfs that is.

With that being said, i leave her with you and thank you.*

Layla could feel a tear coming on her check. She then found another letter and read it too.

*Dear Layla

I dont know if you will ever see me again, but just know that i love you, and had no other choice then leave you at the orphanage, sense your father left me alone with you. He is a coward, but im sure he still cares for you as much as i do.

Im sure you will grow up to be someone very importent, just know the path may be hard, and i rather want you to run away from there and live the life you want to. Be free.

Oh and please dont come looking for me or your father, we will all get killed if people find out about you and your race.

I love you Layla

- you mother*

Layla didnt know if she should be angry, sad or happy... it was alot to take in. But her mother was right on one thing, she couldnt stay here, she has to get out, and be free.

She closed the folder and put it back, then finding maps. Finally finding the map the showed around the orphanage, and futher out. She decided to take it with her, it was risky but she did.

Layla walked quietly back to her room, when she got in she put the map in a backpack, ready to leave soon, but for now she went to bed and got some rest. She couldnt leave without Jackie and Evelyn.

Layla fell asleep and dreamed about running around on a field, with Jackie and Evelyn. She smiled in her sleep.
