What's to come of it?
Y/n
After a few hours, I decided that it was long enough, maybe he changed his mind about the move. Who knows.
I stood outside of klaus's room for a good few seconds before I knocked. "Go away!" He shouts from inside.
I smiled and rolled my eyes as I opened the door. On the other side as usual, he was playing video games on his play station.
"Mom, I'm kinda busy."
I chuckled and leaned against the door frame. "Yeah. Sure." Klaus sighed and took his headgear off throwing them carelessly on the table.
I frowned a bit and walked towards his desk, which was rarely messy but it seemed pretty clean. And it had one shiny thing that peaked my vision.
"What's that?" I picked up the small item to reveal that it is a necklace. He looked at the object in my hands and didn't even flinch, he just stared at it.
"Leilah got it for me on my 12th birthday. It's kinda old." I inspected the necklace closer, it wasn't gold but silver, with a locket that's shaped like a book.
"Hey mom."
I hummed in response, still inspecting the thing. It's remarkable, the way their initials are carved onto the little book as if it's an actual book. "Have you.. ever thought of— giving Xavier a chance." I stopped, furrowed my eyebrows and looked down at him.
"What?" My voice came out more high pitched than usual because why the fuck would my son ask me a question like that? "I mean.. why didn't you date him?"
I placed down the necklace and folded my arms. "Where is this coming from?" Klaus shrugged and slumped back on his chair. "He seems like a pretty cool guy."
"He's too young that's what he is." I scoffed as I sat down on the other chair next to him. "Well.. just because he's too young doesn't mean he wouldn't make a good significant other right?"
"I suppose but still, I can't date someone that younger than me-"
"It's not that bad."
I paused for a second to wonder why the hell we're having this conversation. "It is it really is."
"So if you had a choice you would pick dad over Xavier just because dad is older? Or your age?" I blinked and squinted my eyes a bit. "Yes 100%."
Before he could get a word in I stopped him. "Is this about Sofia?" I could tell by the way he blushed and turned his head away that it definitely was. "Oh honey.."
"Everyone seems to think she's too young and honestly I'm starting to think so too it's just.. hard to stop thinking about her." I nodded in understanding. "Well please don't compare yourself to me and Xavier because he's 9 years younger than me and Sofia is 2 years younger than you. She's even in high school now, what's stopping you?"
"See! See that's the thing!" He got up from his chair and threw his arms up in an annoyed way. "Sofia always seemed like an annoying sister to me and literally everyone I know. But now people will start talking about how the sophomore is dating the freshman and they're gonna call me out for it. I mean everyone thought Leilah and I would be a thing."
