In a trance of a life that isn't mine

!Read my last announcement!

Klaus

"What do you mean you're moving?!"

I sighed and looked down at my feet, this wasn't easy to say at all, especially to my best friend.

"Yeah, I uh. I actually leave next week." Leilahs expression changed from angry to sad and shocked. She stood up, one hand on her hip and the other covering her mouth as she started to pace around

"Lei."

"No! You can't just— you can't just show up one day and— and say you're gonna go that's not how that works!" Leilahs eyes were filled with heartbreak, and if I'm being honest, mine were probably too.

"My parents decided it I have no choice!" Leilah huffed and walked to her closet. "What are you doing?"

She took a back out of her closet and started stuffing clothes in it left and right. "Woah- woah, what are you doing? Leilah!" I stood up to try and stop her but she pushed my hand away.

"I'm going with you. Hand me my shoes." I widened my eyes and stepped closer. This time I made sure she couldn't push me away. "Calm down."

"Let me go! I'm going with you okay?! How much is a plane ticket? I'll sleep outside of your house if I have to—"

"Leilah!" She looked at me with her teary eyes and stopped, that's when she completely broke down, falling to the floor on her knees, watching her like this hurt me on a different level.

I hugged her against my chest and listened to her sobs whilst I tried to fight my own. "It's okay.."

Because I knew she rarely cried.

She sniffed and wiped her tears against the sleeve of the sweater I got her. "Why did you tell me this now. Why wait until the last moment."

I've been putting telling her I was moving for the longest time because I was afraid of this reaction.

"I don't know."

"Klaus.."

"Hm?"

She pulled away from my chest and held my face in her hands "don't go." I wish I could stay, I really wish I could. I cracked a smile and shook my head.

"You'll be okay." I wiped a tear off her face and looked into her eyes, her very puffy blue eyes.

Her face scrunched back to how it was and she started crying again. This time I held the back of her hand and leaned against it.

"You'll be okay.."

From the corner of my eye I saw Sofia, I didn't even notice she was standing there. I turned my head to look at her and she had the same expression on her face.

I don't want to compare I really don't, but that hurt more than it should've. Before I could mouth sorry to her she walked off to her own room probably, whilst I stayed here.
