I didn't cry for Lucas when I went to bed. Yeah, I know it's a big fat lie.
I cried under my blanket with Sansa in my arms. Even though she did her best to break free.
When I heard someone banging on my door, I ignored it. Luckily Iris had given me my spare key back or she would have marched in. I didn't want that, I wanted to be alone for a moment. I saw my phone light up with a message from Iris. 'I understand that you want to be alone, but tomorrow morning I will be here. You better open the door then. Love you sis.'
'I will, love you too.'
I scrolled down my pictures that I had posted today. Lukas liked one of them, I clicked on his name and then I went to Hailey's profile. She had posted a picture of Megan and Brandon during their first dance. She wrote with it 'congratulations to my future sister-in-law. Hailey and Lucas 4ever'
I rolled my eyes and scoffed seeing it, she sure works fast. I received a message from Lucas 'sorry Rose, can we talk tomorrow?' Ah, now you want to talk.
'Leave me alone Lucas, congrats on your engagement.' I sent him back. Going back to my pictures I removed the one that I had shared of us together at the wedding. I tossed my phone on the bed beside me and curled up with a pillow wrapped between my arms since Sansa escaped.
I woke up pretty early and cursed seeing the time, it was barely 6 am. Not being able to sleep anymore I stood up, refreshed and ate an early breakfast going through my phone.
I had a text from Lexie 'What happened last night?'
'Too much to explain through message. Since when are you up so early?' I sent her back.
'Chris want to catch some waves before he goes to work and I'm going with him.'
Catching some waves? Uh, that would be good now, clear my head a bit 'Can I tag along, or is this a romantic date?' I sent her back.
'we'll pick you up in 5.'
'great'
I put my dishes in the sink, I would do that later. Brushed my teeth, pulled on a bikini and some clothes over it. I filled a bag with a bottle of water, sunscreen, a towel, my wetsuit jacket and grabbed my purse. I let Sansa out and took my surfboard and walked outside. Just when I closed the door behind me Chris pulled up in front of the building. He jumped out and helped me with my board and then we were off. I sent a message to Iris telling her that I went surfing with Lexie and Chris.
"So, what happened?" Lexie started. I told them everything and by the time we were at the beach I was done.
"What are you going to do now?" Lexie asked.
"Me? I'm going to do nothing; he made his choice." I shrugged.
"Are you sure about that? Aren't you going to fight for him?" Lexie asked.
