Saturday evening, and I was lying in my pyjamas on the couch. I was watching a movie, but I wasn't really paying attention. I had my phone in my hand and scrolled through my messages with Lucas. Something was going on with Lucas and I don't know what. For a while now he has been really distant, and I don't understand what I have done.
Maybe he gave up on me. I scolded myself you told him to date other people. How stupid could I be? I don't want him to date other people. I missed his company although I saw him often. But he wasn't the same as before. I missed his hugs, him teasing me, his little kisses. I groaned, most of all I missed sleeping in his arms. I glanced at the time, 11pm. Fuck it! I turned the television off and went to my room. I pulled on the first thing I saw and walked out of my apartment and drove towards his house.
Pulling up in front of his house I saw some light and I knocked on the front door. Gail opened the door with a surprise on her face seeing me.
"Rose! What are you doing here?"
"I need to see Lucas."
"He isn't in love. He went out with some friends. Your brother is with them."
"Oh." Damn, now that I finally had found the courage to act.
"Come in for a moment Rose."
I nodded and followed her towards the kitchen.
"If you want, you can stay here. I don't think he will be that long gone."
"I'll ask him where they are." I took my phone and sent a message to Lucas and to be sure one to Thorn too.
Thorn responded immediately 'I just left them in club Square.'
"I know where he is." I stood up.
"Rose, you can stay here and wait for him. I don't mind."
I shook my head "no, I can't Gail. I need to see him now. If I wait, I'm going to change my mind again and I don't want to do that."
"Okay. Are you sure you can enter the club dressed like that?"
I looked down "no, probably not."
She hummed "follow me, I'm sure that Megan left some dresses."
Gail insisted to do my hair and make-up and 40 minutes later I was finally ready to go. I pulled the little red dress down a bit. It was a bit too short and too tight, but Gail kept saying I looked beautiful.
"Go get him Rose." She winked when I walked to my car. I smiled and waved at her.
The whole drive to the club I was nervous. And I was ready to turn around when I saw the club.
'Come on Rose. You can do this.' I gave myself a little pep talk and walked in the club after they let me pass the line. Wearing a tight red dress helps skipping the waiting apparently. There were a lot of people in the club, and I didn't saw him at first sight, so I went to the bar and looked around from there.
