A new sunny day awaited the campers of Mystic Falls and finally they could enjoy their breakfast back at the cafeteria like they used to. The group sat together after having bonded over the last few days and everyone's head turned when Sebastian came through, however it looked like he wasn't welcomed to sit with Lizzie and her friends.
"Well, he took his time with his beauty sleep today."
Hope said with an arrogant smirk and Josie nudged her elbow as Lizzie glared at her.
"You know I can hear you, Mikaelson."
"I feel like I haven't slept this good since forever." Caleb said to break the awkward moment.
"Me too. I felt like my back was about to break after sleeping on the ground for two days."
"This generation is so spoiled." Hope scoffed and now everyone was glaring at her and she threw her hands in the air innocently "okay fine jeez I'm gonna shut it."
"Alright, good morning everyone.. " Alaric appeared suddenly with a microphone.
"I trust you had a challenging but nice trip to the mountains. Well done to Ethan for winning this year's games, but worry not. Our talent show competition is coming up and this time anyone can join and show off their talent or special abilities with no exceptions. If you want to join all you have to do is talk to Hope and sign up as she's the one helping to organise the talent show this year."
"Wait-- why me?"
"I'll talk later with you. For now, enjoy your breakfast and then your hobby clubs are coming right up. The weather is back to normal so our activities are back on."
Hope took her apple and ran after Alaric who was on his way back to the office.
"Care to explain why no one informed me about this?"
"We have an agreement, Hope. I need you to be my eyes and ears that's why I want you to organise this event. I'm also making Sebastian help set up the stage so it's easier to keep an eye on him."
"Fine. But I thought we worked together. Next time come to me first with your plans."
Hope took a bite of her apple and walked off confidently, while Alaric chuckled with the girl's arrogant attitude. For the whole day people kept coming up to Hope to sign up and she couldn't focus easily on her painting that she worked on during her art's club, in the end it was completely off compared to what she had in mind and she decided to tear the paper off and scramble it up in her hands. Lizzie who was also present at the arts club looked over at angry Hope and laughed.
"And I thought I was the one with the anger issues here..."
"Yeah, well your dad's brilliant idea for me to organize the competition is driving me insane."
"Well, he must have thought you were capable enough to do it. By the way, I want to sign up too. I believe it's going to be a good distraction from Sebastian and everything going on."
