38. Hidden desire

After filling her cup in the kitchen Hope returned to the living room where everyone was starring intensively at the TV and Josie was taking a minute to herself to process what had just happend, letting her body cool off from the unbearable heat. The auburn played it casual and shoved herself under the blanket again with her cup in her hands trying to focus back on the movie, which at that point didn't quite make sense for her as her mind was occupied with other things.

When the movie ended Hope suggested they played truth or dare, and they all had a bit of a mixed feeling about this.

"Come on, why the long faces guys?"

"Do you remember what happend last time we played this stupid excuse of a game.." Landon said trying to remind Hope of the drama between him and Rafael.

"How could I forget that? However, Penelope is not around and it's not like anyone's hiding any major secrets that can ruin anyone's friendship this time, right? I thought we were past the whole thing anyway."

"Fine, if that's how you want to be. Hope truth or dare?" Rafael said quite abruptly while setting his cup down at the table, and Hope couldn't help but give him a little glare.

"Hit me with a truth."

"Who's more attractive, me or Landon?"

The boy said with a reckless smile while nudging Landon's elbow who was simply shaking his head in disapproval clearly not wanting to be a part of this again as they had previously agreed to keep away from Hope.

"Honestly? None, the most attractive person in this room is this babe sitting right next to me."

Hope said while side eyeing Josie who was rather surprised with her answer and sipped her drink in silence, trying not to elaborate to the fact that Hope was straight on hitting on her.

"Josie, doesn't count. You can't possibly be attracted by her, no offence but you seem hella straight to me."

"Oh well, think again sweetheart."

Hope distracted herself by drinking while Josie shoved her once again off the couch with one of her shy smiles, at this point they were being obvious with each other.

"Oh.." Rafael sighed an unusual breath.

"My turn. Truth or dare Josie?"

"I don't trust you, Hope Mikaelson. So I will chose truth."

"Ouch.. Okay, when was the last time you had a sexual encounter?"

Hope had a teasing little smirk all over her face and Josie turned red in just a matter of seconds upon hearing her question. She couldn't possibly admit that her and Hope were getting down and dirty with each other while the others watched a movie. She picked up her red cup instead and downed the whole drink all at once, giving Hope the satisfaction of having successfully messed with her.

"Turns out there were secrets to be spilled after all." Landon concluded with a roll of his eyes.

"Well, not that my sex life concerns any of you. Anyway, Landon I believe it's your turn truth or dare?"

"Okay since no one has picked it yet I will chose dare."

"Perfect. Jump in pool with your clothes on!!" Josie said with a grin.

"Of course that would come up at some point! Gee. Twice in a day?"

"Come on, it's her birthday. You gotta do it, Landon." Hope added with another laugh as the boy stood up and headed towards the door while unbuttoning his shirt.

Once everyone was outside where the temperature was mildly cold now they stood over the edge of the pool waiting for Landon to dive in but he was rather hesitant to do it at first so Rafael decided to push him in himself making the girls burst out laughing at each other.
