Harry

“Hey Harry, where's Matilda?” I hear Marlia ask sitting in the backseat of the car in her car seat. It's currently nearly six in the evening and me and my Tilda have decided to ask Marlia if she wants to have a sleepover. I rarely have Marlia at mine due to me getting called into a job unexpectedly but also some nights I drink and I don’t want her to be around that. Especially if I'm the one drinking, I don't trust myself.

“She's currently at my house so you will see her in less than five minutes.” I smile while looking in the mirror seeing her smile and stare out of the car window as we pass buildings that she would have seen a million times before.

The best thing I have ever done is introduce Matilda and Marlia to each other. Seeing how much Matilda cares about Marlia makes my heart clench knowing she would have loved to meet peaches. The days get harder as they go by knowing that Matilda won't get to meet the person that has been my rock, she won't get to see the pettie argument that makes me pissed off but peaches laughs, she won't get to see her grow into the person she would grow into. When Scott had Marlia it felt like I had another sister. It felt like I had another chance to be there for a person that needed me. It made me feel less alone in this world.

The moments that I know will hit hard that will make me miss her presence even more is when I get married and she can't do those stupid speeches that I would kill her as she would write something stupid. The moment she is supposed to hit 18 and take her out to her first club. These moments I would not be able to give her as she left this evil world too soon. If one of us died first it was always gonna be me over her but I guess she just won. I don't know how I am gonna survive any longer without my peach, my sister, the person I was supposed to protect.

Parking the car in my spot in the underneath parking lot I unplugged my seatbelt and made my way getting Marlia out of her seat seeing the excited grin on her face,

“Let's go let go let's go” I feel Marlia pull on my leg trying to hurry up while I try to get her bag out. I close the door shut and hold her hand as we make our way to the elevator. The doors open bringing a sense of calmness over me as I get to spend the night with my favourite night. It's just a shame that Peaches is missing. Not even letting the doors shut, Mar is already continuously pressing my floor number to my apartment.

“Alright missies I think that's enough pressing that otherwise we will get locked in and you won't be able to see Matilda” I pick her up seeing a mischievous grin spread on her lips.

“Harry?” She asks curiously as the doors open letting me lead her to my home.

“Marlia”

“Where's Auntie Em, how come she's not around anymore?” I feel my heart break as she says the words that I was hoping she wouldn’t ask me and asked Scott instead.
