Matilda
"Who's that brown haired good looking dude behind us?" Tia asks in a mumble not wanting to draw Harry's attention.
"That would be Harry" I sigh as I hear her giggle like a schoolgirl.
"And who's harry?" She looks up at me with a cheshire's grin like she knows everything.
"Well I don't know" I shrug, not knowing what we are. We haven't spoken, maybe just a few words between us both but nothing much like we normally would. We have been here for a few days now staying in the hotel. We went shopping to grab clothes as we weren't expecting to stay as long as we have done. Me and Tia have been to every place we went when we were kids but also it's been nice just having time with each other. Last time I saw her was when my mum was in hospital as she decided to have one of her episodes again. She let Lidia know that she was okay that night and I could hear the breath of relief on the other side of the phone call. I love their friendship so much. Lidia is like my Miles and I'm so glad that my sister has someone like I have someone. Someone that will be there for me no matter what.
"What do you mean I don't know?!" She gasped like she couldn't believe the words that I had just uttered to her.
"Well he's Harry and he's a friend if that's what you would call him? I don't know" I question not knowing what we are now.
"You're telling me that the hot looking guy which may I add is your type is just a friend yeah right" She mumbles not believing a word that comes out of my mouth. If you heard our conversations right now you would think that she is older than me by the way- Wait, how does she know about having boyfriends?
"Wait, stop a second. Why are you lecturing me about boys when you haven't had a boyfriend?" I announce in confusion. I see the grin on her face begin to rise meaning that she knows something that I don't.
"How do you know that I haven't had a boyfriend before?" She challenges me while using that I left in my face. Just then I'm taken back to how much time I've lost from my sister's life. Sisters are supposed to know more of what other people know about yourself but yet sitting here across from each other sipping on a milkshake that we got from a cafe and I don't know anything. She's like a different person and yet she looks the same on the outside.
"Oh" I utter in shock when I come to the realisation that she's changed since the last time I saw her. She's grown independent and I missed it all.
"I'm sor-" she apologises as she realises that she's thrown why I left in my face.
"No don't apologise, your right I don't know what has changed as I can only remember the younger you. I get it I do" I whispered, biting my lip not wanting to show a facial expression that will let her know that her words have stung me like a wasp.
