Aizawa quickly followed. He knew if Hawks was moving like that, something was wrong. Bakugo cursed under his breath, keeping his eyes focused incase other villains showed up to assist.

Mika felt the blade to her throat and opened her eyes to see golden orbs inches away. Hawks froze in his tracks when Kenshi flipped the blade to her skin. The villain chuckled lowly, "I knew your whipped ass was around somewhere..."

"What can I say," he kept his eyes on her, "I've been known to have impeccable timing."

Mika let out a long breath, gearing up for her next move. Her eyes closed as she concentrated. She could smell the blood from Kenshi's lip, from where it collided with the back of her head. His grip on her faltered, the blood coasting through his veins felt...off.

Hawks studied them for a moment before using this opportunity to pull the knife from her neck, slamming Kenshi through the wall. Angry was an understatement. He wasn't sure what he was feeling, or how to describe it, but he knew Kenshi was fixing to be a floor mop.

While Hawks was occupied, Aizawa carefully made his way inside, helping Mika to her feet, "Let's go."

She stood as they made their way out of the back door, moving down side streets. She could feel her neck bruising slightly, but, they made it out safely. Round one was a success in her book. Not to mention the technique actually worked, she hadn't used that since...she and Aizawa had their falling out.

Once they were far enough away, he turned and looked her over, "Are you okay?"

"Yeah," she caught her breath and nodded.

"You used it didn't you?"

"Y-yeah...I wasn't sure what else to do, he-"

"It's fine Mika," he placed a hand on her head, "I'm glad you're okay."
_______
Hawks slung Kenshi like a rag doll once more. His wing was aching, but, he didn't care right now. The type of anger that was creeping through his veins fueled him.  Before he could make another move, Bakugo's hand was in his face, "Enough."

He looked at the fellow hero, catching his breath. Red met gold in a stare off, deciding who would be the first to move. Deku held a motionless Kenshi under his arm. Hawks nodded and took a step back, Bakugo dropped his arm, looking him over, "Are you cooled off?"

"Yeah," Hawks swallowed, "I'm good."
_______
Hallie gently cleaned a few scrapes on Mika's cheek in Bakugo's office. The dark haired woman seemed fuzzy since they had gotten back to the agency. Aizawa was keeping quiet, his dark eyes looking her over once in a while. Mina was quietly sitting in the corner, she had received a harsh talking to from Hallie once they returned.

Hawks causally made his way inside, replaying what happened. He couldn't place it. Kenshi had a firm grip...but then he faltered, seeming confused. Aizawa walked up to him, "Let's chat."
_____
Aizawa closed an office door and sighed, "I know you might be confused, so I wanted to educate you on just how extensive Mika's quirk is."

"I'm all ears."

"While she forms her blood into weapons...she can also use her blood itself as a weapon." He sat on the desk, "If her blood gets mixed with someone else's, or they ingest her blood, she can manipulate it."

"So when Kenshi started freaking out-"

"Yeah," he eyed the hero, "listen to me, don't talk about it to the others..."

"Why," he crossed his arms.

"Because it's a dangerous ability to have. Not many people know she can even do it." He stood and walked towards the door, "It's puts a lot of strain on her, I would hate for someone to take advantage."

"I see," Hawks followed him into the hallway.

"You're lucky he's alive," Bakugo scolded.

"No, he's lucky he's alive," Hawks corrected him with his signature grin, "I wasn't going to kill him."

"You got pretty damn close."

"Boys, enough," Hallie snapped. Both blondes immediately hushed. She put her hands on her hips, blue eyes glaring, "Hawks, take her home."

"Yes ma'am," he patted her head as he passed by.

Hallie sighed, "Well that was a shit show."

Denki smiled, "But, not a complete shot show."

Bakugo's rubbed the bridge of his nose, "Shut it..." Hallie opened her mouth to speak but her cut her off, "I already know."

"Good," she snapped, "Everybody go home. We can regroup tomorrow."

Aizawa smirked and patted Bakugo's shoulder, "Good luck."

His red eyes looked down at her, "Let's hear it."

"No," she moved past him, but his grasp stopped her, "Hallie."

"Your drive for information almost got her killed," she looked at him.

"It was a stupid call," he kept his gaze forward, "but, I was right..."

"I know."

He sighed, "So don't be too mad at me." He looked at her and smirked, "I mean if you're that upset I could just go home-"

She narrowed her eyes, "You promised."

He grinned, "Let's go."
______
Hawks held a spaced out Mika in his arms, quietly flying back to her bunker. He wasn't sure how far he'd make before he had to land, but so far he was managing. Her face was buried in his neck, she looked slightly pale before they left. Aizawa said rest would do the trick.

He landed softly and made his way inside. Luckily he had watched her punch in the key code a few times, and had it memorized. She stirred against him slightly taking a deep breath.

"Mika."

"Hm?"

"Tell me what you're feeling," he carefully laid her on the bed, "Do you need anything?"

She blinked a few times trying to process, "Oh um...I...just rest. I'm feeling light headed and fuzzy is all."

His eyes landed on her neck, a sigh leaving him, "Okay," he helped her out of her jackets and shoes, laying her back. "Where's your sleep clothes?"

"Um, my shorts are..." she paused, "Second drawer."

"Okay," he quietly opened it and grabbed a pair. He looked over to see her eyes closed. "Great," he searched her drawers trying to find a top, "fuck this."

He reached in his bag and grabbed a long sleeved shirt. Her eyes opened slightly when she felt his weight on the bed. He leaned her up and pulled the shirt over her head, replacing it with his. With quick work of her jeans, he carefully slid her shorts on, making note of the bruises from her skirmish.

"Thank you," she softly said as the cool sheets surrounded her.

"Just get some rest," he pet her head and stood.

"Stay," her grey eyes looked at him, "I feel a little...defenseless."

He grinned, "So you're saying you need a big hero like me to make you feel safe?"

Mika rolled her eyes, "Turkey brain I swear-"

He chuckled as his jacket slid off, "I'm just calling it like I see it."

A sigh of relief left her when her face burrowed into him. His scent and warmth was calming, comforting, and lulling her to sleep. Hawks protectively wrapped around her, his fingers quietly playing in her hair. If Bakugo hadn't stopped him, he would probably still be beating Kenshi to a pulp. He couldn't help the feeling that came over him, it was such an odd rage.

His phone buzzed, making his brows furrow. He opened it to see a message from Tokoyami, making sure they made it safely. He smirked, his little sidekick had turned into quite the hero. One he couldn't wait to hand over the agency to.
