Mina ran into the hospital to a waiting Bakugo. The two exchanged a look before he reached out and pulled her into a tight embrace, speaking softly. The woman gripped his suit as tears streamed down her face. He hugged her tightly and locked his jaw, closing his red orbs.
Mika felt a hand lightly graze hers and instantly held it, her eyes settled on Hawks, "Is he gone?"
"We don't know yet," his golden eyes looked at a sobbing Mina. "We have to make some changes...but we can talk about that later."
Mika looked at a solemn Denki. You could tell he was about to break. Jiro jogged up and immediately wrapped her arms around him. He clung to her, his shoulders shaking. "I know," she spoke softly, "Its okay..."
They all sat for what felt like ages before the doctor finally made an appearance. He was alive, barely. Luckily the poison hadn't had enough time to spread, however, his body was in bad shape from the intense pressure of the vines. They weren't sure when he would wake up, but his brain function seemed alright.
Bakugo knelt down in front of a dazed Denki, "Go home." He gently ruffled his hair, "Get some rest and if anything changes I'll call." Denki met his eyes for a moment and nodded, "You did good...he wouldn't be here if you hadn't fought so hard...don't beat yourself up."
Jiro took his bandaged hand and led him out through the double doors. Hallie had joined them, holding a quiet Mina. Mika knelt in front of the women, "Can I do anything?"
Mina smiled slightly, "Go home. He would be upset if he knew everyone was here worrying."
"He's just that good of a guy," Mika reached out and gave her hand a squeeze, "If you need anything, do not hesitate, understand?"
Hallie winked, "Understood."

Hawks took off into the dark sky, "Change of plans. We're going to my place."Mika blinked, "Okay."
"I'll explain more later," his voice was solemn, "I just want to get home."
They shortly landed on his roof; however, he didn't set her down. He kept her in his grip as they made their way inside. They walked through the door quietly as he shed his jacket, tossing it aside. Mika could feel emotions rolling off of him in heavy waves.
"Keigo," her voice was barely a whisper. He turned and looked at her for a moment. She reached up and removed his goggles and headphones, setting them aside, "He's going to be okay."
"I know," he paused, "Its just...I dunno."
"You're allowed to feel what you're feeling," she pet his head, "Your friend died today..."
He wrapped his arms around her and pulled her close, breathing her in, "Thank you."
"You might be a hero, but you're still human." She placed a soft kiss on his cheek, "What do you need from me?"
"Just you, right here," he placed a soft kiss on her lips, "with me."
__________
Mina was talking to the doctor while Hallie sat next to Bakugo. Her hand softly held his, "They're putting him into ICU. Mina is the only one allowed inside."He nodded and stood was Mina approached them, "They're setting up a room."
"I'll keep my phone on me," he looked at her, "If anything-"
"I'll call you, I promise," she smiled slightly.
"Do you need anything," Hallie hugged her tightly, "I'll come back in the morning with some clothes and stuff for you."
"I'll be here first thing in the morning," Bakugo let out a breath.
Mina knew arguing wouldn't do any good, "Okay."
Once they walked through the front door, he felt the racing of his heart. His skin felt hot. Hallie turned around and held his face, "Katsuki, take a breath."Red met blue, "It's okay. Just breath."
Her hands reached down and began to undo his heavy, restricting gear. He closed his tired eyes. A panic attack, something he hadn't experienced in a long time. Once his gear was gone she wrapped her arms around him, "You're okay. I've got you."
He buried his face into her red curls and wrapped around her tightly, trying to even out his breathing. His best friend died today...right in front of him. His wife, someone who was like a sister to him, who is pregnant with their first child, sobbed in his arms and clung to him. His other good friend fought so hard to save him, his hands were blistered. Silent tears fell from his eyes. Hallie was his safe place, he thanked whatever gods existed for that.
Her eyes brimmed with tears as she held him tightly. She hoped Kirishima would pull through. He had to pull through.

Denki laid back in Jiros arms. He had broken down a few times, his eyes felt heavy in her warmth. Her arms laced over his bare shoulders as she kissed his head. He smirked to himself and laid his head back against her."We can go see him tomorrow during visiting hours."
He nodded, "Please."
"You know he's not a quitter," Jiro smiled slightly, "he'll be awake before you know it."
"I love you," he absentmindedly stroked her arm, "You always know what to say."
She chuckled softly, "I love you too. Now rest."
_______
Mika laid in Hawks' oversized shirt, her grey eyes quietly looked into darkness. Hawks was laying with his head on her chest, sleeping soundly. He has been clinging to her most of the night once they returned. He needed her touch and soft words. She gladly complied. He had done so much for her, this was the least she could do.Tokoyami had texted checking in. Apparently his girlfriend worked in trauma and knew he had went to school with Red Riot. Mika filled him in and promised to update him with any news.
"You need to go to sleep," a golden eyes sleepily cracked open.
"Shhhhh I'm sleeping," she teased.
He scoffed, "Liar." He nuzzled against her, "What's on your mind?"
"The usual," she closed her eyes, "I was just making sure you were okay."
"Mika," he sat up and looked at her, "I promise, I'm fine."
She eyed him, "Yeah I know, but I care...so I worry."
He laid his head back down, "I know."
Mika smiled and breathed in his scent, closing her eyes. She hoped everything would be okay. Her heart broke for Mina, she couldn't imagine what she was going through.
