"Why can't I know," Hawks snipped.

"Because, it's not a fully formed plan yet," Mika shot back, "Are you going to be like this all day?"

"Yeah, I am. It's bullshit," he glared, "What's the point in a partnership when you don't include said partner?"

Mika felt her temper slipping. She stood and walked into the bedroom, shutting the door. He had heard about Bakugo knowing their conversation, and now he wouldn't let it go. Not to mention she wasn't feeling well. Her energy was low due to all of the pressure and stress. Hopefully tomorrow, training would help.

Hawks glared at the floor. He didn't like arguing with her, but, it wasn't fair. Frankly, it hurt. He didn't know how to put it into words, which didn't help his case. They argued all day, now it was late into the evening and here they were.

Bakugo had told him to relax about it. But he couldn't. They only had three weeks. He laid his head back and closed his eyes with a heavy sigh.

A soft knock on the door drew her attention from her phone. Hawks walked in, his golden eyes on the floor. Mika felt so bad. He looked defeated, it pulled at her heart.

"Mika I don't like fighting with you."

" I don't like it either," she patted his side of the bed, "It makes me sad."

He crawled into the bed and laid his head on her lap, "I don't know how to explain what I'm feeling."

"Does that upset you?" She pet his head as he nodded, "I understand. I just want to make sure everything is in place before we go over it. Can you trust me on this?" He nodded quietly, "If it makes you feel better, I won't leave your side on that day."

He smirked slightly, "It helps a little."
________
Hallie stretched her muscles, "I'm not in work like you are," she chuckled, "So don't beat my ass."

Mika smiled, "You're better at hand to hand than I am. I should be worried."

Hallie looked amazing for someone who had recently given birth. She barely had a post baby stomach. Her signature black belt hung on her hips, over top of her black leggings and white tank top. Mika dressed in a pair of black leggings, and a red sports bra, hoping it would help with her movements.

"I'm surprised our shadows aren't here," Hallie pulled her hair back, looking around Gamma.

"Hawks had a meeting."

"Katsuki was dropping the kids off at his parents before he checked in at the agency." She let out a breath, "Ready?"

Mika smiled, "Yep!"

"Remember, when that feeling hits, embrace it, don't run."
_________
A small crowd of students had gathered at some point. Aizawa lazily leaned on the observation railing, a smirk on his face.

"How's the show," Hawks casually walked up beside him.

"I think she's getting it."

Mika and Hallie were in close combat. Hallies signature bow staff was colliding rapidly with Mika's self made twin daggers. They both moved fluidly, once in a while a spark would shoot up. Mika's was red as it moved along her arms. Hallies was it's signature color, moving through her legs as she swung at the other woman.

Mika twisted out of her way, making a fluid sweep at her legs. Bakugo leaned on a nearby building, "Don't slow down Mika," he instructed, "Keep moving."

His words hit her ears as she picked up her pace. Hallie slid to a stop, huffing, "I don't think she needs any help."

He chuckled, "No but if you're going to be out there, you do."

"Rude," she dodged a hit, blocking with her staff as she rolled out of the way.

Mika stopped, her chest heaving, "What's the time?"

"Three o'clock," Bakugo pushed off of the wall.

"Almost five hours," Hallie caught her breath, "not bad."

He blinked, "Five hours?"

"Straight," Hawks asked.

"Yeah," Mika wrapped her hand, where she had activated her quirk, "We just wanted to see how long it could go."

"You haven't been into work in almost a year," Bakugo's scolded his other half, who smiled innocently, "Not to mention you gave birth like what, three weeks ago?"

"Katsuki," Hallie smiled, "I know my body. I did it with Tobi too. It's okay."

Hawks lifted Mika's wrapped hand, "You okay?"

She nodded, "Exhausted, but I'm good. How was your meeting?"

He flung an arm over her shoulder and started walking, "Super boring."

Hallie smiled, "I guess they worked through their issue."

"Yeah," he looked her over, "are you sure you're okay?"

"Awww, Mr. Number One is concerned about little ol me?"

He rolled his eyes and took her hand, "You're so annoying."
________
A week went by, Hallie and Mika trained almost every day. Hawks noticed a boost in her confidence. He was grateful that Mika had Hallie to train with and confide in. The only downside was their time spent apart between her training and his patrols.

He was surprised to see her when he walked into the apartment. She was asleep on the couch, curled up with a blanket. He kneeled down and kissed her cheek, "Hey you."

Mika opened her eyes and smiled tiredly, "Hey."

"No training today?"

"No, we needed a rest day."

Hawks smirked, "So i get you all to myself?"

Mika laughed, "Yes."

He kissed her cheek, "Rest. I gotta handle some stuff real quick."

Mika nodded and curled back up. He had been so patient this week. No fits or tantrums over her training schedule. He was putting his faith in her, she couldn't let him down.
