Tobi led her down the halls of the hospital, barely able to contain himself. Hawks had stopped to see a few heroes who had been in a skirmish the night before. Bakugo was leaned against the wall, waiting patiently to take them back. Tobi ran to his father, wrapping his arms around his neck. Mika smiled, "You look tired."
"Because I am," the blonde hero squeezed his son, "did you behave?"
"He did. We watched a movie and hung out," she winked at the boy, "It was nice having him around."
"You wanna come back," he pushed off of the wall.
"Of course I do," Mika smiled and followed him through the doors, back to the private, quiet room. She knew Bakugo made a fuss, wanting them to have privacy so Hallie could rest.
"Listen," he set Tobi down, "you have to stay calm, okay?" The boy nodded, "Your moms really tired."
"We talked about it on the way here," she ruffled the boys hair. Bakugo had told her Hallie had lost a lot of blood, and was exhausted. Luckily the new addition was perfect.
Hallies face lit up when her son crawled onto the bed, "There's my guy," she wrapped her arms around him, "I missed you."
Tobi clung to his mother, "I missed you too. Are you feeling okay?"
"I'm tired, but I'm okay," she stroked his hair, "We're you good?"
"Yeah," he buried into his mother, "Uncles Hawks took me for ice cream, then we colored and watched a movie."
Mika chuckled, "He's surprisingly good with Tobi."
Hallie grinned, "Thank you for keeping an eye on him." She nodded to the small bassinet, "She's asleep."
Mika grinned and looked down to see the most perfect thing in all the world, "Oh she's an perfect."
Bakugo scoffed and stood beside her, "Of course she is." He smirked when Hallie rolled her eyes.
"Ah yes, forgive me," Mika gently reached down and lifted up the small sleeping bundle, "Do you think she'll be a blonde?"
"We're taking bets," Hallie watched her son crawl to the edge of the bed.
Mika turned and sat down on the bed so he could see. His big blue eyes blinked, "She's so small."
"She'll get bigger," Bakugo ruffled his sons hair, "What do you think?"
Tobi smiled, "I love her."
"You're going to be the best big brother," Mika winked. "Are you feeling okay?" She looked at Hallie.
The red head nodded, "I'm feeling a lot better after the fluids and some rest."
A soft knock came from the doorway, Hawks leaned on the doorframe. Bakugo sauntered over, "How are they?"
"They'll be fine," he smirked, "You look like shit."
"Fuck off," he yawned, "Thanks for looking after Tobi."
"It's no problem. He's fun to have around." His golden eyes settled on Mika and the small bundle in her arms, talking softly with Hallie. Bakugo watched the winged hero, a smirk forming on his face before he turned as his son walked up to them. Hawks knelt down, "Well?"
"She's little, but they said she'll grow," he smiled.
Hawks chuckled, "She will. You'll have to help take care of her."
The small boy nodded, his eyes determined, "I will."
He stood as Tobi hurried back over, "He'll be hell for anyone in the future when it comes to her."
Bakugo chuckled, "Saves me some work." He nudged the other hero, "Come on. She doesn't bite."
Hawks made his way over, his eyes settling on the small squirming bundle in Mika's arms. She almost didn't look real. He smirked, "She is pretty cute."
Mika smiled at him, "I know. I think she'll be a red head."
"Hmmmm," he tilted his head, "you don't think blonde?"
Hallie laughed, "Katsuki thinks red too."
"Then I say blonde."
________
Mika plopped down on the couch and yawned, "Tobi is going to be a mother hen...Hallie has her work cut out for her."Hawks smirked, picturing him fussing over his baby sister crying as they left, "Yeah, but sometimes Hallie needs that." His eyes looked her over, "Do you like kids?"
"I do, oddly enough," she thought for a moment, "I enjoy watching them discover the world."
"Would you...ever want one?"
"I'm not sure," she sighed, "I don't really think I would be mother material."
"Why not?"
"My mother...wasn't the best," her grey eyes looked at him, "I don't want to be like her. What about you?"
"I'm kinda in the same field," he sighed, "Anytime I think about it, I picture my father."
"For what it's worth," she turned to face him, "I don't think you would be anything like that. You'd be an amazing father."
His cheeks flushed as his eyes cut away from hers, "I'll take your word for it."
_______
Bakugo sat in the darkened hospital room, the small bundle in his arms. He couldn't stop looking at her. It was an odd sensation he wasn't familiar with. She was so perfect, it was infectious. She barely cried or fussed, thankfully allowing them to rest. He memorized every small detail on her face."You're going to spoil her," Hallies soft voice sounded.
"That's fine," he slowly tore his eyes away to look at her.
"You say that now. It'll be different when she won't sleep without you holding her," she teased.
"Then I'll just hold her," he smirked.
She sighed, "Katsuki, you're already hopeless." She held out her arms, "Lemme see her."
He stood and gently handed her over. Hallie rocked her slightly as she stirred. This, this made his heart swell. Hallie had done so well, and god motherhood looked so good on her. He could watch this all day. Hallie looked him over, "Are you okay?"
He nodded, "Yeah, I'm okay." He leaned down and kissed her head, "I love you, Hallie."
The red head smiled, "I love you too."
