Denki moved as fast as he could through the halls of the hospital. Bakugo had called and told him the news, he wasted zero time. Luckily his quirk allowed him to zoom as fast as he wanted. As soon as his gold eyes landed on Kirishima, he burst into tears. The red head pulled him into a close hug, letting his friend process his emotions. Mina smiled and rubbed his back quietly.
_____
"So now I can call you snowball," Hawks teased a pouting Mika.

She rolled her eyes, "No, you can't. Aren't you going to go see Kirishima?"

"Nah, not yet," he shrugged, "I'm sure his room is full of people right now. Besides," he wrapped an arm around her shoulder with a grin, "You got patrol tonight."

She huffed, trying to still be annoyed with him, "Are you aware your charm saves your life almost everyday?"

"Yes," he chuckled, "but you love me."

She scoffed with a smile, as she walked to the agency door, "You're lucky I do..."

He paused for a moment before he followed her. He felt a flush on his face at her words, "I am lucky."
___________
"Mina," Kirishima's hoarse voice softly said, "Go home and rest."

"No," she simply replied. "I'm fine."

"I'll call him to come get you."

She smirked knowing he was talking about Bakugo, "Call him." She sat on the bed, "The hospital has been so kind to me. I promise I'm okay."

He sighed, his hand softly landed on her small bump, "Then at least rest in here."

She chuckled, "Fine." She settled into the bed beside him, pulling the blanket around them and laying her head on his chest, "Better?"

He smirked as his hand stroked her soft curls, "Yes." His smirk grew into a grin when he felt her drifting to sleep. His friends had come by all morning once again to see him. Bakugo had done everything to make sure Mina was comfortable and taken care of, he owed him big time. But, it also brought him peace. If anything ever happened, gods forbid, she would be looked after. Katsuki Bakugo would make damn sure.

Mika zipped up her crimson suit and pulled up the hood as she looked over the city. The wind was chilly tonight, she could see her breath in the night air. She had really enjoyed nighttime patrolling. Hawks took one side, and she took the other. They had a good rhythm, especially in combat. Hawks handled ranged attacks, and Mika was up close and personal.

A soft thud made her spin around. She blinked, "I didn't think you were on patrol tonight."

Bakugo walked up and looked her over, "I'm just checking in." He reached up and fixed her hood, "Is it quiet tonight?"

She nodded, "Luckily yeah. How's Kirishima?"

"He's doing a lot better. He still has a ways to go though, which means I'm down a hero." He walked and looked down at the square, "So I need a favor."

Mika walked beside him and sat down, "Of course."

"I need you to come by the agency tomorrow and sign some paperwork."

It took her a moment to process, "You mean..."

He squatted down and lightly flicked her head, "Did that bleach suck out your brain? Yes."

Mika rolled her eyes and smiled, "You sure you wanna sign me?"

"No," he smirked, "but you come under high recommendation. I figured it couldn't hurt."

"I'll do my best."

He stood and looked down at her form. She was somewhat like a sister to him. She had done so much for his agency, not asking for anything in return. When Hawks had mentioned it, Bakugo had already been considering making her a temporary fill-in. He nudged her with his leg, "Be safe."

"Always," Her grey eyes watched as the cities number one hero leapt off of the building. "Me? A signed hero?" She smiled to herself, "Who knew?"
________
"Come on," Hawks whined, "You can't really be mad at me...I didn't see the guy."

Mika held the ice pack to her bruise cheek, "You're telling me you didn't see a guy in a bright ass yellow jacket fixing to punch me?"

"He was fast," the blonde huffed, his wings fluffed slightly, "Besides, I was a little busy focusing on the actual gun in your face."

"I had him," she narrowed her eyes, "not the idiot behind me..."

"Mikasa," he dramatically leaned on her, "don't hate me. I do my best."

She sighed and looked at him, "I know you do big bird. You owe me though."

"I'll deliver, I promise," he kissed her silver hair.

"Can we talk about something?"

"Of course."

"I...don't want you to leave tomorrow." She cleared her throat, "But I understand..."

He was quiet for a long minute, sorting his head, "Mika, I don't wanna hurt you."

"You won't," she looked at him, "I trust you." She could see the uncomfortable look in his eyes and smiled slightly, "But, if you're against it, it's okay. We just promised to be open."

Hawks watched her disappear and the shower turn on. He leaned back on his couch and let out a long breath, closing his eyes. The sun was starting to break over the horizon. He felt anxiety hit him as he placed his hands over his eyes. He was fighting with himself. He didn't want to leave her. She was improving drastically, and he wanted to be here to witness it. But, he didn't trust himself. He didn't want to hurt her, or force her into anything. He wouldn't be able to stop himself, hell he could barely stand to keep his hands off of her as it was.

Mika tiredly dressed in a pair of pajama pants and tank top, towel drying her silver hair. She was proud of herself, no matter the outcome, at least she spoke her mind. Warm arms wrapped around her, making her smile, "Can I help you?"

Hawks rested his cheek against her bare shoulder, "I need you to understand something: I won't be myself..." he burrowed into her damp hair, "If something happened, I would never forgive myself..."

"Keigo it's okay," she turned and looked up at him, "I just wanted to let you know. I get it," she kissed his cheek, "Now stop overthinking it, I'm tired."

He smirked slightly and placed a kiss on her lips, "Thank you for understanding." He gave her another kiss, "Now, go to bed, I'll be there soon."
