You peered up at him knowing this was your signal to move. Every muscle and tendon in your body was gearing up for the fight of their life, Getting off of the chair.
You gripped the edge of the stool tightly, trying to ready yourself. Slowly you set each foot on the ground one by one and pushed yourself up. Your balance was horrendous, so you braced your knees trying to not fall. Billy slightly smirked to himself as you drunkenly got yourself together. Once you established decent footing, you followed him along the bar. He walked quickly past the other patrons, whose eyes were glued to the stage, and led you towards the side door.
Normally you would have been self conscious and overly aware that eyes were on you as you walked. However, as you passed the edge of the stage, you had no awareness at all. At this point you grabbed onto Billy's arm trying to once again not trip over peoples legs. Your unsteady gait was noticeable and he grabbed your hand before leading you out the swinging doors. Your sober self would have been internally screaming at the idea of him holding your hand. He was holding your hand. But you were too drunk to notice.
He carefully led you outside and the brisk air slammed onto your face immediately. It felt good. The sun had completely set and it was definitely what your mom would consider to be "too late on a school night". Not many people were standing outside, but there were a few smoking cigarettes and laughing between each other. Billy kept walking you along the rail that led to the side of the building. The music was now muted by the thick brick walls and it slowly faded into the distance as you turned the corner to the back parking lot.
"Where are we going?" You drunkenly laughed as you stumbled behind him clutching his arm.
He wasn't necessarily pulling you along, but he definitely had a game plan, and he wasn't sharing it. All of a sudden he abruptly stopped causing you to halt. You tried to lean against the wall beside him but you ungracefully slammed backwards. At least the cold brick felt good against your arms.
As you looked down for a moment to position yourself, his eyes scanned your body. The flush of your cheeks and laziness of your eyes was apparent to him. He moved slowly as he took a step forward towards you. Ever so gently, his fingers trailed up the front of your arm, crawling almost. You lifted your head at his touch and tried to focus your eyes forward until they met his. Your heavily eyelids gazed into his blue eyes and your skin tingled beneath his fingers. Without you fully realizing what was happening, he stepped closer and leaned in to close the gap. His lips should have felt like velvet. The sparks should have flown and internally you should be shouting to the heavens, finally accomplishing your goal. They should have, but they didn't. Instead your lips drunkenly felt for his as his arms snaked up and around your body. Your hands soon began to dance in his hair.
"You taste like candy", he whispered in between sloppy tongues. Your grabbed a handful of his hair and pulled gently.
"More like booze", you slurred, causing him to smile as you bit his bottom lip.
