Today is the day we all had been waiting for-graduation day.

The day we are freed from this hell that we call school.

The day we venture off as adults.

Who am I kidding?

I'm still a kid at heart.

"How do I look?"

I shook my thoughts away and looked at Phara.

She wore a black cami flare dress over a white button-up with black sandals. I got up and kissed her head, letting my lips linger before I answered.

"You look beautiful."

"Ew," Rebecca said as she walked into the room.

We were all at Malina's house since I lived here now. I had a choice to move in with Zhana, but I chose my mother.

"Jealous much."

"Nowhere near."

Rebecca and I had on black pantsuits with white button-ups. She had on loafers, and I had on pumps. Sebastian had on a tuxedo.

"I still think I look the best," Rebecca said and flipped her hair. "Mhm, what do you think, Phara? Who looks better," I turned to her.

"I'm not in that."

And out the door she went.

"Come on, we should be leaving, too," Rebecca stood up with a sigh. Of course, while Phara and I were excited for this day, Rebecca seemed to dread it. She wouldn't tell me what was wrong, either. When I asked Jun, she would immediately change the subject.

I eventually stopped asking. She'll tell me when she's ready.

"Yeah, Sebastian's waiting for us."

"Wait, why is Sebastian graduating," Rebecca asked as we walked downstairs.

"Since I couldn't bring animals to school, Sebastian became a student." "Yup."

"Makes sense," She shrugged. *Ding*

I looked at my phone to see a message from Malina. *Get here before we line up*

"Alright, I just got a text from the madam. Let's go," I shouted, grabbing their attention. "We're already at the door," Phara pointed out. And they were. All except me. When did Rebecca get over there?

A little embarrassed, I didn't say anything. I grabbed the keys and walked out the door with them behind me.

We burst through the doors with bated breaths.

Did we run in here? No, but it is hot as hell out there. Okay, bated breaths are kind of an exaggeration, but still, that heat is no joke.

It nearly took our souls from us.

"Glad you could make it," Maliana snarled.

We were a little late, but they still haven't lined up yet. I think she wanted to spend time with us before it was too late.

"I'm sorry, traffic was unusually bagged up today," I apologized.

"Yeah, yeah," she brushed me off. "Go in my office, your cap and gowns are in there. Your names are in them," she dismissed and assisted another student. Though she had a face, she still had to assist her students. Superintendent's words.

We charged into her office and quickly put on our attire. "Not so fast," Mrs. Watson stopped us before we could leave.

"Maliana wants a picture," she said, waving the camera. For a second, I thought we were in trouble.
