Emrie walked around in the white room and wondered where she was since the last thing she remembered was being in that warehouse.
"We meet again."
Swiftly turning, Emrie saw the "buck" she hunted. "What are you doing here," she asked. "Well, I've always been here," she replied. "And where exactly is here?"
"Your conscious."
"My consciousness?"
"Yep."
The "buck" hopped down from the white swing and walked in the opposite direction from Emrie. "Follow me." "And why should I," Emrie skeptically asked. "If you want to get out of here, you would," the buck's voice echoed.
"You know the way out," Emrie asked, following her. "Of course, I've been here since you were born.
Emrie noticed everything they passed was white, which was barely anything. "Why is everything so white," she grimaced when her eyes began to hurt. "Everything here is white because you were kept in the dark for so long, making you pure." Emrie knew she was nowhere near pure.
Emrie didn't ask anything further as she continued following the woman.
"Here we are," the buck smiled as they came up on a door.
"And here is?"
The buck opened the door to a pitch-black area. "I'm guessing everything I don't know is in there," Emrie said, and the "buck" nodded. "You have two days to find the last two parts of you," she explained.
"What do you mean, the rest of me?" "All will be explained once you complete this task. Now, make our mother proud," the "buck" said and pushed Emrie in. "That'll be hard to do."
Emrie walked around the room with her arms out to feel when she heard chains. "Hello," she spoke. The chains rattled again, but they sounded closer. Emrie followed the sound of chains until she saw a light.
"Free me," an eerie voice whispered. Emrie hesitated as it kept whispering, "Free me." "Free me," it whispered once more. "Alright."
Emrie reached her hand out and released the light from its chains. "Thank you," the voice said, now clearer than before. The light transformed into the image of the "buck" that threw her in here.
"Who are you," Emrie asked the woman.
"I am your Eye," she stated.
"My eye?"
"You will know more in due time," the eye said and disappeared.
Emrie had learned about the Eyes, but they were part of a different. The Eyes allowed a witch to see a person's beginning and end, the living and the dead. What she didn't understand was why did she have one?
Well, in due time, she would learn.
Emrie kept going, determined to figure out what she didn't know. She didn't know where she was going or how long it had been, but she was happy she didn't run into anything.
She had already found one missing part. Now, she was missing one. Emrie was so lost in her thoughts she didn't notice the sound of water drawing near until she fell into the water.
"Are you okay," a sweet voice asked once she resurfaced.
Emrie ignored the voice as she clawed her way through the water in hopes of finding land.
Emrie coughed up the water she had swallowed as she brought herself to shore. How? She doesn't know.
"Yes, I'm fine," she panted, hunched over. When she looked up, she saw another white light dangling over her. "I'm guessing you're the last part of me," Emrie said after catching her breath.
