Chapter 1

"Shit, seriously?" Dino mumbles while he runs to the train. He doesn't expect a train to be so early, but knowing him, he always has bad luck. And exactly at the time Dino reaches the train, his foot hits something and Dino falls to the ground, faceplanted. In embarrassment, he stays there until a hand grabs his shoulder. Startled, Dino lets out a little squeek. Another hand grabs his arm and pulls Dino up, so he looks the man in the eyes. This is exactly why Dino had decided to move away, too many embarrassing things happened in Korea.
"I- I'm sorry." Dino says politely. He doesn't want the man to become angry and shout because it'll make a scene and everyone will look at them. The man shrugs and looks him in the eye. His black, long hair falls onto his shoulders.
"Doesn't matter." The man replies shortly. His voice is deep, but it has some kind of sweetness inside. Dino tries to smile, it's something he always does when he feels awkward. Surprisingly, the man smiles back and takes Dino's hand.
"I'm Scoups." He says while shaking Dino's hand. Is Dino seriously making new friends in a train station?
"Dino", he replies, while his confidence is starting to grow.
"I uhh- should probably catch my train now." Dino says while pointing at the new train that just arrived. Scoups nods and hands Dino his suitcase, which had fallen on the ground when Dino fell. As fast as he can, Dino runs to the train and with a sigh of relief, he gets inside. The brown-haired boy sits down and looks through the windows while the train starts to move. Only then, it hits Dino that he really is in America, away from his home, his parents, his childhood. Away from everything. His first conversation with an American already went successfully, which gives Dino some confidence. Although it freaks him out and excites him at the same time that he is only an hour away from arriving in his new home, where he would be alone, unknown and someone different. At least that's what Dino hopes. A movement in his pocket pulls Dino away from his thoughts. He grabs his phone and notices that he got a new message.

-1 new message from Mom-
Hi sweetie, are you almost at your new home? I miss u already X

Dino smiles and types a new message. He loves his mom and she loves him, it feels weird to be so many miles away from her.

To mom
Hi, I'm alright, but not home yet. I feel weird haha. I miss u too, hopefully u can visit soon?

With a sigh, Dino puts his phone away and lays his head on the little table. He's tired because he's already traveling for 4 hours, maybe more. Dino doesn't know if he's ready to do this or not, if his decision was a mistake. And honestly, he doesn't want to know. Before he can think of anything else, his eyes close and he falls asleep.

"Finally, you made it." Jeonghan greets him. The red-haired boy always seems excited to get the lead, but gets bored pretty soon after. Scoups laughs and enters the building. All eleven members sit at the round table, waiting for him to enter. When Scoups does, they all look at him, some with curiosity, some with boredom and annoyance. Jeonghan sits down and Scoups places himself at the 'corner' of the table. After a short silence, Vernon finally speaks up.
"How was your trip, Scoups?" Scoups grins while the room gets filled with sighs, ofcourse no one wants to know about his little vacation, but little do they know the precious information Scoups got. It becomes silent again and Scoups starts talking:
"The trip was interesting. I enjoyed it, obviously. I was gone for three days, I hope you all behaved well in the meantime." most of the members nod as a sign: they did behave. Scoups could only be happy with that, he doesn't need problems right now.
"I also discovered some newly information, although it was on my way home." the black haired boy knows he got all the attention now, so he continues.
"I bumped into a boy, well, he bumped into me. At first, I was annoyed, but then, I don't know why, but something hit me."
"A bird?" Hoshi says annoyed. Scoups sighs, but chooses to ignore him.
"The boy has something I like. I don't know what exactly, but I have a feeling that he might be the one." the others looked at him with surprised faces. No one expected they would actually find what they're looking for.
"He's so... innocent. He's like us, and I have a feeling that he doesn't know what's going on. If we can get him before they do, we will have a higher chance of winning." the members look at him in silence. They need to win, it's everything they've worked for. But isn't Scoups going a bit too fast on this one?
"We can't just accept a random kid you crossed on your trip." Woozi scoffs. It's clear that he has his doubts.
"I agree." Joshua says. A few others nod as well. Scoups is loosing hope, they need to be on one line if they want to win.
"But," Wonwoo says, "what do you know about the kid?" Scoups is relieved, that Wonwoo, the smart one of the group, is still with him.
"Well, he's a bit younger than us. I would say he's about 20 years old. He is new here, but I took the same train as him, so he lives nearby. As I already said, he's innocent. No one would expect him to go with us." Scoups looks around, he may be the leader, if the group doesn't follow, Scoups is nothing.
"Allright. What if we just spy on him. See what he does, what he eats, what he likes, who he's with. That kind of stuff. If we know more about him, we can decide whether we will bring him in or not." Jun says. Everyone nods, Jun has a point.
"Allright, Jun, Mingyu, Vernon and Minghao, you guys will spy on him, become his shadow." Scoups commands. The four guys nod and leave the room to discuss how they would do it.
"Wonwoo and Jeonghan, you guys will search online. Find a back story, his family, his full name. Anything you can possibly find." Scoups is glad he already told them about how Dino looks and what his name is, otherwise he would've looked really stupid.
"Joshua, DK and me will try to get closer to him. If he already knows a few of us, the chances that he'll accept our invitation will be higher. The rest is backup." everyone nods and gets to work. They have a plan, and they will succeed, they have to. If they will find Dino first, Scoups' group is doomed.

Dino struggles to get his suitcase on his bed, but eventually he succeeds. Tired, he looks around his bedroom. It's small, but he expected it since he's living in an apartment. The bed is nice and cozy and there's a small desk against the wall. In the living room, there's a couch with a television and a tiny table. Right next to it is a bigger table to eat. Everything Dino needs is right here, except for his family. He does have a neighbour, but Dino hasn't met him yet, he's too tired to do so. Just when Dino lays down on his bed, a knock on the door echoes through the room. Dino sighs, he can't get any rest these days. While rubbing his eyes, Dino walks to the door and opens it. In front of him stands a man with purple hair, which is just long enough to cover his ears, kind of the same length as Dino himself. His black eyes stare at him without any emotion. Surprised and confused, Dino tilts his head and stares at the man.
"I'm Minho, your neighbor." the man introduces himself. Dino shakes his hand and introduces himself as well.
"I'm Dino. What brings you here?" the brown-haired boy tries to keep the conversation going.
"I always like to meet new people, especially new neighbors, so do you mind getting a drink with me? I'll pay." Minho smiles, which makes Dino regret his desicion even more.
"

I'm so sorry, I just arrived so I have a lot to do, and honestly, I'm really tired. So maybe tomorrow?" the smile on Minho's face drops, but he still looks interested.
"Sure." he says, his voice still full of happiness. Dino nods and waves Minho goodbye before closing the door. He already feels bad for letting the kind man down, but Dino knows he needs some time alone now, or he'll get crazy. With a sigh, he unpacks some more and when he put all the important things in the right place, he let's himself fall down on the couch. Dino feels exhausted, as if he had just ran a thousand miles. But the world really doesn't want him to rest, because his phone starts to vibrate. Dino looks at the screen and notices that it's his mom calling him. Quickly, he answers the phone.
"Hi, mom!" Dino tries his best to not sound exhausted, but he fails because he's litterally out of breath. His mom's voice sounds worried.
"Are you allright honey? You aren't too exhausted, are you? Because I can call you back later."
"No, no. I'm fine. Travelling is exhausting, so it's normal. How is dad?" Dino asks. He doesn't want to let another person down today.
"He's fine, still working. I am fine too, and you will never believe what I did today." she says excited. Dino is triggered and eager to know what excites his mom so much.
"What is it?" he asks.
"I have made the desicion to put some money aside, do a little job and when I have enough money, dad and I can come over! How fun is that?" Dino hears her clapping her hands out of excitement. He smiles, he loves to see his mom happy and honestly, he hopes his parents can come over soon.
"That's amazing! Will you let me know when you leave, then I can pick you up at the train station or at the airport." his mom agrees and Dino talks a bit with her about his travel. When he hangs up, his mind races again to the strange man he met on the train station. Dino noticed the man sitting on the same train as him, so does that mean he lives nearby? Dino doesn't know, and he doesn't know if he wants to see that man again. He did have a strange vibe and the way he was so calm and without any emotions, it scares Dino. No, Minho is a way better option. Tired, Dino walks to his bed and places his phone on his night desk. Maybe he should just get some sleep, that will deffinetly keep him calm. Laying down, Dino stares at the ceiling, he met some people today, traveled some miles, arrived in his apartment. Dino did a lot today. Tomorrow he'll search a good place to dance and explore the city, that's for sure. But before Dino can think any further, his eyelids get too heavy and he falls asleep.
