Yawning, Dino wakes up. He didn't sleep long, but he feels way better then he did yesterday. While rubbing his eyes, Dino walks over to the little kitchen, where he hopes to find something to eat. He opens the cabinets, the fridge, but nothing inside.
"Shit", Dino mumbles. He has to skip breakfast today. He walks to the bathroom and brushes his teeth. But just when he is done, a knock on the door echoes through the room. Confused, Dino runs to the door and opens it. The purple haired boy standing in front of him smiles and waves at Dino.
"Hi! Are you ready?" he says enthusiastically. Dino slaps himself in his mind, how could he forget?
"I'm so sorry, Minho! I forgot, but I think I'm ready, give me a few minutes!" Minho laughs shortly while Dino runs through his apartment to find his phone, jacket and wallet.
"Ready!" Dino says exhausted and he closes the door. Smiling, Minho takes him outside the building and Dino follows him, because he has no clue where they are.
"Where are we going?" Dino asks curiously. A breeze is ruffling his hair while they're walking down the street. Minho smiles mischievously, which gives Dino shivers.
"You'll see." is the only thing he says. Dino sighs dissapointed and keeps walking in silence. Minho laughs and Dino looks at him confused.
"You're cute when you're dissapointed." he says laughing. Dino feels his cheeks getting red and quickly looks away.
"We're almost there, trust me." Minho continues. Dino only nods shortly and looks at the building around the city. His eyes land on a big, white building with big, black letters above the doors. The letters say: dance room. Dino chuckles, it sure is a basic name, but it still triggers Dino's interest. He always loves to dance and sing and just basically make music. He has to admit he felt worried that he wouldn't be able to find a place to work on those interests, but this place might be it. He makes a mental note to go to this place again later.
"What are you staring at?" Minho asks confused. Dino hadn't noticed that he's standing still, staring at the building.
"Nothing," Dino says, "it's just the building, I should come back to that one later." Minho nods and continues to walk. Dino sighs, he doesn't want to make a bad impression. The silence feels awkward to Dino, but he doesn't have anything to say. Dino sighs in relief when Minho stops and says that they arrived. They're standing in front of a coffee-shop, which looks very cozy. Dino pushes the door and they both enter. It's not until now that Dino thinks about the fact that it's weird to go to a coffee-shop with a strange man he met 24 hours ago. But it doesn't matter now, Dino just has to enjoy it. They take place at a table and Minho signals the waiter to come.
"I would recommend the coffee house-made." Minho whispers just when the waiter arrives.
"What can I get you two?" the waiter asks politely. Anxiety runs through Dino's veins, what does he choose?
"I would like a coffee house-made", Minho answers. Now they both look at Dino, hoping he will say something.
"Me too, please." is the only thing Dino can say. The waiter nods and walks away while Minho smiles.
"So you just follow the advice of a stranger?" Minho asks laughing. Dino shakes his head in defense.
"Technically, you're not a stranger to me. I know you for about 24 hours." Dino tries to defend himself.
"Allright, allright." Minho stops laughing and starts to get more serious.
"So, tell me, what brings you here?" he asks curiously. Dino inhales deeply before he starts talking.
"I have lived in Korea for a while, my whole childhood actually. But I just feel like I don't belong there. I have too many bad memories there, you know? So I got here because this place seems nice." Minho nods and looks up when the waiter brings their coffees. Dino sips from his coffee carefully and let's the taste run through his mouth. Minho looks at him hopefully.
"It's allright." Dino says smiling. Minho smiles as well and they both drink some coffee. Dino feels like it's his turn to ask something.
"And how are you? I mean, since when do you live here?" Minho chuckles and puts his coffee down.
"I have a complicated past. But let's say that I have been living here for a while, and I'm not thinking about leaving yet." Dino is quite puzzled by Minho's answer. He knows Minho is mysterious, but this confuses Dino a lot. He decides to just let it slide and go on. They both drink their coffees and the waiter comes back to give them the bill. Dino wants to take his wallet, but Minho puts his hand on Dino's arm.
"I'll pay." Dino stares at him while Minho gives the money to the waiter.
"You didn't have to do that!" Dino exclaims in disbelief.
"And what if I wanted to? It's been ages since someone wanted to come to this shop with me." Dino smiles, but his mind is racing. So does this mean that Minho doesn't have any friends? Is Dino his only friend? While Dino is lost in thought, the two boys leave the shop and take a walk through the city. Dino enjoys the warmth of the sun on his face, and Minho does too apparently, because he's smiling a lot.
"So, what's the best place in this city?" Dino asks carefully. He doesn't want Minho to think Dino is a weird stalker or something.
"You mean where I go to the most?" Minho asks. Dino nods and Minho looks up to think.
"I believe I go to my own house the most. Except for that, I have a place where I meet with friends." Minho tells him. Dino notices that Minho is thinking about every word he says, as if he is hiding something. But still, Dino looks surprised.
"You have friends?" the words flew out of his mouth before Dino even knew it. Minho looks at him with confusion.
"Bold of you to assume I have not." he replies. Dino's cheeks turn bright red while he tries to save himself.
"I mean, in the shop you said that it's been a while since- nevermind." Dino sighs, he truly screwed it up right now. But to his surprise, Minho laughs.
"I see. No, my friends just don't like that place. We have some enemies that live nearby and we don't want to see them, you understand?" Dino nods, he didn't know Minho had enemies. But it's none of Dino's business, so he just stays quiet.
"Should we go home?" Minho asks friendly. Dino nods relieved.
"Yes please." Dino's feet are almost falling off, he walked too much and he is still too tired. The dance room will have to wait until later.
