Chapter 38

"Scoups, you can't do this!" Dino yells devestated when Joshua leaves the apartment. The black-haired leader looks at the brunette confused.
"Do what?" Scoups asks calmly.
"You can't go to Chan all alone, it's way too dangerous!" his roommate yells and Scoups sighs while he looks Dino in the eye.
"Did you eavesdrop our conversation!?" Scoups accuses Dino and the brunette turns a little bit red.
"That's not the point," Dino waves it off, "you are going on a suicidal mission! I can't let that happen!" Scoups sighs while Dino walks over to his roommate.
"And why do you care? You said it was my fault, so I'm going to fix this!" Scoups yells. The black-haired male is done keeping his calm.
"I didn't mean it like that!" Dino defends himself and Scoups looks up to the ceiling chuckling.
"But you said it, Dino, and it's the truth. I'm sorry, but you can't stop me." Dino stares at Scoups in silence and the leader wonders what's going on inside his friend's head. But only seconds later, the brunette clenches his fists in anger.
"Well, maybe I can't, but your team can", Dino blurs out while he lifts his arm to grab his phone. Scoups is quick to snatch Dino's arm and look at him in anger.
"Don't you dare tell them", Scoups grits through his teeth.
"Are you seriously going to lie to them?" Dino asks in disbelief.
"No, I just want to tell them myself", Scoups reasons with the brunette.
"And when are you going to do that, after you died?" Dino scoffs and Scoups looks at the brunette offended.
"Are you doubting my chances in this fight? Are you saying that I'm weak?" Scoups asks as he places his hands on his hips.
"No, I'm just being realistic. You're not Superman, Scoups. Chan is clever, he knows you, he is angry and he's not scared to kill." Dino's face is only inches apart from his leader's, but Scoups doesn't feel the urge to back away.
"What are you trying to say, Dino?" Scoups asks and the brunette looks into his eyes for a moment before he continues.
"Are you ready to kill Chan?" Scoups blinks in surprise while the brunette's words still echo in his ears. Dino is staring at his leader, examining every movement.
"Why do I have to, I mean-"
"You're not ready, are you?" Dino asks and Scoups sighs defeated.
"Allright, you win. But I'll find a way to capture him or something", Scoups adds quickly and Dino looks at his leader concerned.
"Scoups, you're never going to make it if you're getting killed without killing yourself!" Dino grunts annoyed and Scoups slams his hand on the table.
"Well, it's my choice! Why are you even bothering?" Scoups asks furiously.
"Because I care about you, goddammit!" Dino yells and a silence falls down between the two males. Scoups takes a step back startled to process what is happening.
"I don't want to lose you, not now, not tomorrow, never", Dino continues when he notices that Scoups isn't answering, "I've already lost too many people."
"So have I," Scoups reminds the brunette, "that's why I'm doing this." Dino grabs Scoups' hand nervously and sighs deeply before continuing.
"You don't have to do this, Scoups. Please, just think about it and listen to how stupid you sound. You're never going to make it out alive and what happens then? Do you really believe that he will stop? He'll just laugh at you while he rips us apart!" Scoups blinks a few times to let the words sink in and nods slowly in response.
"Allright," he sighs, "I won't meet up with Chan." Dino smiles thankful and hugs the black-haired leader tight.
"Thank you", Dino whispers softly while he leans his head against Scoups' chest. The black-haired male wraps his arms around the brunette and can't help but smile.
"Are we good now?" Scoups asks.
"Ofcourse we're good", Dino says chuckling and Scoups sighs relieved. He doesn't want to have a fight with Dino all the time.
"What if we would just watch a movie tonight, does that sound good?" Scoups suggests and Dino looks up to his leader smiling.
"That sounds awesome!" he exclaims excited and Scoups smiles.
"Go turn on the TV already, I'll be right there", Scoups says and Dino nods before he runs off to the couch. Scoups stares at the brunette smiling before he grabs his phone. He knows that this is stupid, but Scoups is stubborn. He opens the contact of a certain friend and texts him a message.

To Chan
I know that it's me you want, so come and get me. Meet me at Target tomorrow, 5pm. Not a second sooner or later. See you there.
