Chapter 29

Chan looks around confused, normally, the blonde would never be late.
"Where is Felix?" the leader asks the hazelnut-haired boy. Jisung innocently shakes his head.
"I don't know, Chan", he says. The black-haired leader sighs annoyed and asks the other members, but none have a clue.
"Goddamnit", Chan curses and he walks back and forth through the room.
"Where is our spy?" the leader asks and he gets the same answer.
"Seriously? So these two are just missing?" Chan grunts annoyed and sits down on a chair. Everything is going wrong, first Scoups rescuing Dino, then Seungmin and now these two idiots. Chan hopes that no one else is planning on doing something stupid.
"Do you think they have them?" Jeongin asks worried. Chan realizes that the youngest has no one left if Felix dies, Hyunjin and Felix were the only ones for the young boy.
"I don't think so, how are they even able to do that without Scoups?" Chan tries to comfort Jeongin. The young male shrugs and sits down as well. Slowly, the team that's left all sit down and Chan looks at them. He hates when things don't go as planned, but at least Scoups is out for a while. The black-haired leader has been following his ex-best friend's hospital records to see if he has woken up yet, but it looks like Scoups was in need of a good night rest. Let's keep it that way until I have fixed these little problems. The leader thinks to himself while Changbin starts waving at him from across the table.
"Chan? Hello?" startled, Chan looks at the brawny male and realizes that he had zoned out.
"Sorry, where were we?" Chan asks.
"We haven't started yet, but I guess we were about to discuss what to do next", Jisung informs him. Chan throws him a thankful smile before turning to the small group to speak.
"We are still with less people than Scoups' group, but we surely killed more of them. I wasn't agreeing with Felix' bomb attack at first, but we already took two out, so I guess it was a good move after all", Chan states. Everyone nods agreeing.
"So how many have we killed from them?" Jeongin asks curious. Even though he misses his friends, Chan knows that the young male will never stop thinking about blood and murder.
"If I'm counting right, 4 people, if that third guy survived. And we have took Scoups down for a while." The members cheer and Chan is surprised to see them be so glad. Maybe they are happy that they took revenge for Hyunjin, maybe they are just happy with the murders.
"Let's get that number up!" Changbin yells excited while the others cheer.
"Hell yeah, let's get that number up", Chan says grinning. Even though their psychopaths aren't in the room right now and even though they're with little people, Chan will be able to take down Scoups' group until the very last person. And that last person is going to be Scoups himself.

Dino takes a deep breath, this is just like his dream. He can't see anything, but Dino can tell from the wind and his dream that he's standing on the bridge he can see from the little park. Maybe Woozi is watching him from there, since it was his favorite spot. It hurts Dino to know that he will leave Wonwoo and Scoups, but it gives him peace that they will be safe and that Dino will be reunited with Hoshi in the afterlife, if there even is one. The brunette can feel the blonde's breath in his neck and this time, it doesn't scare him at all, Dino is as calm as a lake, for the first time in a while. The wind is flowing next to his body, encircling it, brushing it. As if it wants to give Dino the courage to jump. But Dino will only jump when he knows that Wonwoo will be safe. Maybe the brunette can take the blonde with him when he falls. After what feels like an eternity, the blonde maniac finally takes off Dino's blindfold.
"Are you scared?" the maniac asks. In his dream, Dino would've answered out of fear, but now, he means it.
"No."
The blonde looks at him surprised, but chuckles right after.
"Are you sure?" the blonde looks at Dino as if he can't believe that the brunette who was so scared in the kidnapping would be this calm, only inches away from a deadly fall.
"Dino!" Wonwoo yells, the black-haired male with glasses is terrified, Dino can tell. His glasses are laying on the ground. Although in his dream, Dino has sound devestated and shocked, Dino feels a tear rolling down his cheek, even though he's not that shocked at all. He's just sorry for the pain he's going to cause.
"It's okay", Dino whispers and Wonwoo looks at him with a puzzled expression, as if he doesn't know whether to believe the brunette or not. Wonwoo wants to turn around to see the blonde who's laughing right now, but Dino is quick to catch his attention.
"Don't turn around!" the brunette yells and scared, Wonwoo freezes in place. Dino's heartbeat is racing, even though Dino is the one to die, Wonwoo can still die as well. And suddenly, Dino starts to freak out inside. Not only his life is on the line right now, his friend's life is too.
"I'll give you a way to survive." Both males stare at each other shocked, wondering why the blonde would be this generous out of the sudden.
"On what condition?" Wonwoo asks suspicious, he too knows that there's probably something behind it. While the male with glasses turns his attention towards the blonde maniac, Dino silently takes a small step closer to the edge. He feels the deal coming and Dino will make sure that Wonwoo is the one to survive. Luckily, the black-haired male with glasses didn't notice Dino moving.
"One of you has to jump, the other survives. And if you don't or it takes too long..." the blonde takes out two guns, which he can shoot both males down with. It's clear now, if Dino or Wonwoo doesn't jump quickly, they will both die.
"I guess that it's clear", Wonwoo says.
"Yeah", Dino answers.
"I'll jump." Both males stare at each other surprised while they hear the words come from the other while saying them themselves.
"How amusing", the blonde laughs and Dino notices that Minho isn't there, neither is anyone else. The blonde maniac is doing this on his own.
"It hurts, right, to lose a loved one?" the blonde's voice suddenly sound bitter and Dino realizes that Hyunjin must have been really precious to him.
"We know how it feels." Wonwoo's voice sounds bitter as well and Dino thinks back about the people he has lost. To Dino, only Scoups and Hoshi really got to him, but to Wonwoo, every single death was like loosing a part of himself. Wonwoo has become a broken puzzle who's missing a piece that never will be found again. Dino's peace is just temporary lost, in the conclusion that Scoups will wake up. Dino is certain now, he is the one to die. Wonwoo has been through too much and Dino doesn't deserve to be the one surviving.
"Agh, just jump already!" the blonde cries out frustrated, as if he's starting to doubt. This is my moment. Dino thinks while he knows that in his dream, he is falling down right now. The brunette wants to turn around so he would slip and fall, but a sudden voice brings him to stop.
"Put the guns down." a red-haired male is aiming a gun at the blonde and he is not the only one. Dino spots Joshua and another guy in the car, also holding a gun.
"I can just shoot them anywa-" a gunshot echoes through the air and a few birds from the forest fly away. Dino looks around scared, he doesn't feel any pain and Wonwoo isn't shot either. The blonde one seems to be fine as well, except his guns are on the ground. One simple bullet threw both guns to the ground, making the blonde vulnerable. The maniac stares at his weapons in shock while Jeonghan calmly walks over to him. Wonwoo and Dino are still too scared and shocked to move while the blonde walks over to Jeonghan too. They seem ready to fight and to Dino's surprise, Jeonghan drops his gun.
"Let's do this like real men", the red-haired male states and the blonde one scoffs.
"Good luck loosing." With those words, the blonde attacks Jeonghan and Dino wants to help him, but he knows that he should stay here with Wonwoo in case the male with glasses does something stupid and Dino doesn't want to harm Jeonghan's pride either. So he stays where he is, even if that's on the edge of a bridge. The two males are fighting, but they are coming dangerously close to the edge and Dino notices what the blonde one is doing. He's slowly pushing Jeonghan to the edge until there's no way out. Finally, Joshua steps out of the car to watch over his roommate, the black-haired male's expression looks worried. Suddenly, the blonde picks Jeonghan up and runs to the edge, ready to throw the red-haired male into the depth. Dino is fearing for a bad ending, but Jeonghan suddenly sets his foot on the ground, making the blonde stop. The red-haired male kicks the blonde, making him fly over the recent leader without any bridge left to land on. But the blonde is still able to grab Jeonghan's collar, sending him into the depth too. Jeonghan accidently hits Dino, which causes the brunette to fall as well. Why did he stand that close to the edge again?
"Dino!" Wonwoo shouts and the brunette is still able to grab the edge, just like in his dream. With his other hand, he grabs Jeonghan's, who's now dangling in the air. Panting, Dino tries not to let go, but it's pretty difficult.
"I'm okay", Dino whispers and he can hear people walking on the bridge. He looks down at Jeonghan, who's scared as well and the brunette tries to pull him up. He screams from the effort, but he can only move Jeonghan up by an inch.
"Dino," the red-haired male stays softly, "it's okay." the fear on Jeonghan's eyes dissapears and makes place for acceptance. Beneath him, Dino can hear someone grunting. The blonde is grabbing Jeonghan's body and he's trying to climb up.
"No, I'll get you up!" Dino yells devestated.
"Scoups chose you," Jeonghan says panting, "show him that you're worthy of his trust." with those words, Jeonghan let's go of Dino's hand, causing him to fall down with a blonde male screaming next to him. Jeonghan's eyes are closed, ready for the moment when he'll hit the ground.
"I will", Dino whispers with tears streaming down his cheeks. His brown eyes seem to be robbed from their happiness when he watches the red-haired male dissappear into the water.
"Here you are, hang on buddy, I'll get you up." a voice above Dino says. The brunette almost forgot the fact that he is hanging on a bridge, his arm feels sore, but his mind doesn't let anything in. He looks up and stares into eyes he never knew if he would stare into again. Mingyu's eyes. He looks way thinner than before, his cheekbones are more noticeable on him and his hair still is a bit messy. The tall male grabs Dino's arms and gets him up. The brunette sighs relieved when he feels the ground beneath his feet. He wants to be happy for Wonwoo and the group to have Mingyu back, but how can he be happy when sadness is the only thing that overwhelming him right now?

Scoups is once again confronted with all his murders, or at least, that's what they call themselves. The people who died because of Scoups. He has stared into their eyes for a few times and every time, Scoups feels like it's getting easier. The sun is still hot, as is the sand and the ghosts of his loved ones are still torturous.
"You have killed us." these words get repeated every time. Normally, Scoups would be sad and guilty and tell them he's sorry, but he realized something. This is his mental guilt torturing him. Once he doesn't have guilt anymore and he just accepts what happened, maybe this will all end. Maybe XXL Chan wouldn't show up again to kill him. So the black-haired male responds calmly.
"I know. And it's not all my fault. So respectfully, fuck off." To Scoups' surprise, they actually do. The ghosts dissappear and darkness surrounds him. The only thing Scoups can hear, is Chan's voice.
"Remember that these people will hunt you down forever. I will take revenge for all of them. I will hunt you down until you beg me to kill you, just you wait." Scoups gets chills from the voice, but he gasps when he hits the ground. His whole body shakes and he opens his eyes in shock.

Panting, he looks around. He's in a hospital room, his wrist is cuffed to the bed and the sound of his heartbeat echoes through the room. Vernon and Jun look up surprised and rush over to him when they notice that Scoups is looking back. Dazed, Scoups hugs them back and he smiles sheepishly.
"You're awake!" Vernon says happily and Jun pats Scoups' shoulder. Still a bit confused, Scoups is able to speak. His voice sounds raspy, as if he hasn't spoken in a while.
"How long have I been out for?" he asks. Jun looks at Vernon and the two males lift their shoulders.
"Don't know, a week, maybe two." Scoups blinks surprised. He has let his team down for a few weeks. How have they been able to keep going on?
"Did I miss a lot?" Scoups asks. Jun and Vernon look at each other before answering nervously.
"We'll inform you on everything later, just rest for now." Scoups nods, even though he's been in a coma for a while, he feels really tired. He can't really remember anything from his coma, except for two names: Chan and Seungmin.
