Chapter 32

"Please, come inside." Dino smiles at the brown-haired lady who's entering his new apartment. There's still a lot of stuff from Jeonghan and Joshua in this house, but Dino is slowly adapting to the place. It's small, although it's bigger than his own apartment, but nice and cozy.
"Where's the patient?" the woman asks friendly. Dino has decided to call over a doctor since the painkillers relax Scoups' body, but they don't solve the cause of the pain. He had to search for a while, but the brunette believes that this woman is independent and not in any contact with the police.
"Over there", Dino says while they walk over to Jeonghan's room, which is Scoups' now. The black-haired leader has been laying in bed all the time because he sleeps a lot. And ofcourse, the male isn't strong enough yet to even come out of bed.
"What's your name, if I might ask?" Dino asks carefully while they walk over to the room.
"I'm Caroline, nice to meet you", she says smiling and Dino can't help but smile back. He already feels comforted in the woman's presence and he starts to believe that he made the right choice. Hopefully, she can help Scoups.
"Can you explain what happened?" Caroline asks while she bends over to Scoups, who's sleeping peacefully at the moment, although Dino notices some droplets of sweat on the male's forehead.
"He uhh, was shot three times. Was in a coma for a while, woke up and we decided to move him home. But then he started having moments of severe pain. I don't know what to do anymore", Dino blurs out. He can't possibly hide anything from a doctor, she has to know what happened in order to treat Scoups properly. Caroline looks at Dino suspicious, but nods and proceeds to examine Scoups to see where the bullets hit. She stays professional while she touches Scoups' body over and over again. Dino can't help but feel a little wrong about that, technically, she's touching Scoups without his permission. Dino starts to zone out right at the moment someone rings the doorbell. Startled, Caroline presses on Scoups' body a little too hard and the black-haired male grunts softly. Her cheeks turn red, but she focuses again and continues her work.
"I'll open it", the brunette mumbles while he runs over to the door. Why would someone visit him now? Dino opens the door and Joshua rushes in.
"Hey, what are you-" Dino asks, but Joshua is already at the other side of the room. Dino closes the door and runs after him, only revealing a Joshua who's staring at the whole situation in shock.
"What the fuck is happening?" he asks, Dino can hear the anger inside his voice and flinches a little.
"Can we talk in another room, maybe?" Dino tries to let the doctor do her work. But Joshua clenches his fists and looks Dino dead in the eye.
"So that's your solution? Letting a whore inside?" he asks and the doctor looks up offended.
"Excuse me?" She asks, anger rising up in her voice.
"Sorry, please continue your work," Dino apologizes to the doctor, "Joshua, she's helping Scoups by finding something to cure his pain. Please shut your mouth." The black-haired male looks at Caroline with a furious look, but storms out of the room soon after and pulls Dino with him. With a little squeek, Dino ends in the living room next to a furious Joshua. Let's hope this ends well.
"What the fuck were you thinking?" the black-haired male rants, "Why would you let a doctor inside?" Dino sighs and places his hand on Joshua's shoulder, trying to calm him down, but the older flicks his hand away in anger.
"Don't fucking touch me", he growls and Dino blinks surprised.
"Scoups needs a doctor, you know that", Dino answers on the previous question. Joshua rolls his eyes and sighs frustrated.
"Ofcourse I know that, I'm not dumb! But the doctors are all looking for him!" Joshua yells and Dino places his hand on the older's mouth to make him shut up.
"Can you yell even louder? I think the neighbors didn't hear you!" Dino whispers angrily while he pulls his hand away from Joshua's mouth. The black-haired male is still looking at him angrily, waiting for an explanation.
"I have done research on her, she is not in any contact with that hospital or with the police. We are safe as long as we don't yell it to her." Joshua blinks surprised and for a second, the anger seems to flow away.
"Are you sure that she's independent?" the black-haired male asks. Dino nods and Joshua shrugs.
"Allright", he says, as if he has accepted it.
"What are you even doing here?" the brunette asks, realizing that this isn't Joshua's home anymore.
"I wanted to check up on Scoups", the black-haired male answers, there's still a scent of rivalry noticeable in his voice.
"What, are you afraid that I can't handle it?" Dino chuckles, but his laughter dies down when the older doesn't answer.
"You really don't trust me with him, do you?" Dino asks and he can't help but feel a little hurt. Joshua lifts his shoulders.
"Like I said, you've already broken enough." Those words still affect Dino a lot, and he understands that Joshua is mad because of Jeonghan's death, but it isn't all the brunette's fault.
"Sure, if you want to play the grumpy five-year-old, do it. But I'm going to give you two options: Either you stop this accusing nonsense and act mature, or you leave this apartment immediately." Dino crosses his arms in front of his body and looks Joshua in the eye. The black-haired male clearly didn't expect the younger to suddenly say something like that. Joshua clenches his fists and opens his mouth to say something, but the older turns around and walks towards the door. Dino watches while Joshua opens the door, but turns around right before he leaves.
"I hope that Scoups realizes that you're only a burden to our group", Joshua says before he leaves the apartment and slams the door shut behind him. Tears are coming up in Dino's eyes, how can someone change so much after a death?
