Chapter 18

"Did you find him yet?" Wonwoo asks nervously.
"No, I haven't found him yet." Scoups answers irritated. He's driving around the city while he's calling with Wonwoo. Scoups knows that the rest of his group is also listening, but he doesn't care. His priority is to find Dino right now, the black-haired male knows that Dino wouldn't text him like that, definitely not when he should be mad at him.
"Have you signaled his phone?" Scoups asks nervously. He's scared that he's going to be too late. Deep down he knows that he already is, since Dino doesn't pick up his phone anymore.
"I almost have a location." Wonwoo answers.
"Why do you look for him anyway? He's clearly mad at you and I don't think he will accept your help." Jeonghan asks. Scoups turns his car into another street while answering.
"He's part of my team and I won't let anyone behind." Scoups notices someone walking down the street, but it's an old man just enjoying the night. Sighing, Scoups drives further.
"Well, technically he isn't anymore. He quit, remember?" Jeonghan reasons. Scoups sighs and stops in front of a red light.
"Dino didn't mean it, he was just emotional." the black-haired male tries to convince him. Silence fills the car while Jeonghan waits to answer. Nervous, Scoups strumms on his steering wheel with his fingers.
"He was pretty mad, Scoups. Don't make any illusions and don't get dissapointed when he doesn't want your help." Jeonghan says calmly. The light turns green again and Scoups continues to drive.
"I believe that Dino wouldn't have send me a message if he was still mad at me." Scoups replies and Jeonghan clicks his tongue.
"If you say so-"
"I found it!" Wonwoo interrupts him excited. Scoups is suddenly all focused.
"He's at the Carnival-street." Wonwoo says and Scoups looks up in surprise.
"That's only a few blocks away!" Scoups turns his steering wheel like a maniac to still get into the street he's supposed to be in.
"Woah! Scoups, please be careful!" Jeonghan yells surprised.
"I gotta go, maybe I will still be on time." Scoups says while turning into another street.
"Don't do anything stupi-" Wonwoo doesn't get to finish his sentence because Scoups already pushed that red button which ends the call.
"Come on, Scoups." he mumbles to himself while he turns into the Carnival-street. Soon enough, Scoups notices someone walking down the street, his black hoodie covers his face, but Scoups is too nervous to care about that. He stops the car, jumps out and closes the door with such force that the guy walking flinches.
"Hey!" Scoups yells and the guy with the black hoodie looks around confused. When he notices the black-haired male running behind him, he quickly runs away into the darkness. Scoups wants to follow him, but a phone laying down on the ground catches his attention. The leader sighs and wants to call Wonwoo to tell him that he has found nothing, but he accidentally clics on Dino's name, which makes his phone call the brunette. To Scoups' surprise, his name pops up on the screen of the phone laying down. Scoups bends down and picks it up, it is Dino's phone. The screen has a little crack, but it doesn't matter to the black-haired male. He's furious, dissapointed and scared. He lost Dino and he doesn't know where the brunette is. He's afraid that Stray kids might kill him like they did with Woozi and Hoshi. Scoups is scared that he let another member down.

Dazed, Dino opens his eyes. He is bound to a chair with some ropes and his body feels weak. The room he's in is dark because there is no light, except for the little windows against the ceiling, which let some sunlight inside. The walls are white, but there is graffiti all over them and mostly there's 'Stray kids' or 'SKZ' written. Dino closes his eyes, he feels really stupid. How can he distrust Scoups? It's clear now that Stray kids does exist, and Dino is in their hands now. The brunette thinks about Woozi, remembering all those cuts makes him want to throw up. Dino is quite sure that he is going to die sooner or later, but he still wonders why they kidnapped him instead of killing him. Do they need something from him? Are they just going to question him? Dino doesn't know what he likes more. Hearing a soft noise, Dino sees a few males walking inside the room. All of them are wearing masks like they did when they had attacked Dino. Shivering, the brunette thinks back to that night. He knows that these creeps have the ability of hurting him, even killing him. Dino for sure can't underestimate them.
"Allright, you woke up." a salmon-haired boy says smirking. Dino looks at him confused, this male isn't wearing a mask.
"Why aren't you wearing a mask?" Dino asks carefully. The salmon-haired male stares at Dino in silence. He probably didn't expect the brunette to ask him that question.
"You already know who I am, so why would I hide myself?" he simply says. The salmon-haired male comes closer to Dino and brings their faces close to each other. Dino can feel his breath on his cheeks while the salmon-haired male talks.
"In case you forgot, I'm Hyunjin. Aka, the person who will be laughing while watching your life flow out of your body." Hyunjin whispers. Dino gulps and holds his breath for a few seconds out of fear. Hyunjin smirks, he must have wanted this reaction.
"That's enough, Hyunjin. We have some business to do." The Australian guy says. Dino recognizes his Australian accent, he curses at himself for forgetting to tell Scoups that when they were still together. Hyunjin scoffs and takes some steps back while the Australian male comes closer.
"Allright, little fella. You better give us the answers we want, or you won't be alive for much longer." the Australian growls. Dino exhales deeply trying to cover his fear, he sure is in a dangerous situation.
"We know that you are a friend of Scoups." another guy says. Dino gasps shortly and looks the masked guy in the eyes. He can hear him chuckling and it annoys him to the spine.
"What?" Dino is able to get out of his mouth.
"You heard us. We know everything about you. Your house, your name, you friends and your family. What you like, what you hate, who you love and what you fear." The Australian says calmly. Every word he says gives Dino more shivers. He has been stalked, not only by Scoups' group, but also by Stray kids.
"So you do have a spy." Dino thinks aloud. He regrets it right after, he can't give any information about him to those creeps. The three guys laugh shortly and look at each other.
"You sure are a clever boy. But yeah, our spy has been really helpful. You too, by the way. We were almost tricked by your innocence, but thanks to our spy, we know who you really are." Hyunjin grins. Dino clenches his fists behind him, Scoups has been right the whole time, someone is betraying him and Dino can't do anything about it.
"Let's ask you some questions, shall we?" The third guy says while the Australian surprisingly cuts the rope, which gives Dino some freedom. But only a second later, the Australian grabs his wrists and puts them in front of Dino. Confused and scared at the same time, Dino waits until the guys decide to do something.
"It's very easy. You either answer honestly, or we'll do it the hard way." Hyunjin grins and Dino suspects that the two other guys grin as well.
"First question, where does Scoups live?" the Australian asks. The three maniacs stare at Dino while he's waiting to answer.
"I don't know." Dino states, hoping that they'll believe him. But Hyunjin grabs a black stick and places it on Dino's wrist. An electric shock flows through his body, making Dino gasp. It feels really weird, like pain that doesn't really feel like pain.
"It doesn't matter anyway, we already know." the third guy scoffs.
"This was a test question." the Australian adds.
"Next question, who is close to Scoups?" Hyunjin asks. Dino certainly cannot answer this question, he knows that these creeps will go after them.
"I don't know, maybe the guys that you have killed already." Dino tries to be brave. The three guys laugh, but Hyunjin places the stick back onto Dino's wrist. The electric shock flows through his body again and Dino starts to worry how many he can actually take.
"I like that answer, I can enjoy my trofees and shock you at the same time." Hyunjin smiles and Dino doesn't like the look he has in his eyes. The fact that he just called Woozi and Hoshi 'trofees' doesn't make it any better.
"Fuck you." Dino snaps. Hyunjin raises his eyebrows and looks at Dino surprised.
"Woah, carefully with what you say, fella. You're not in a good position right now." the Australian warns him. It's more like a threat, honestly, but Dino tries to get every kindness he can get out of this guys.
"I don't care, why don't you kill me too?" Dino scoffs. He knows that this may be a dumb thing to do, but Dino is desperate. He'd rather die than betray Scoups or his group. Hyunjin smiles and looks at the Australian. Dino notices that the Australian might be the leader, he notices that the other two always look at him for affection. Dino grins, if he survives, he will have a lot of new information. But he has to survive first and he's not really doing a great job.
"I would love to, you know." Hyunjin smirks. The Australian sighs and gives him a sign. Hyunjin gives the stick to the third person and walks over to the brunette. Dino's eyes widen, he didn't expect the salmon-haired male to kill him right now. But before Dino can fight back, the male wraps his hands around his neck with a smirk. Dino gasps trying to catch some air, but he feels that it's getting more impossible the longer Hyunjin has his hands around his neck. Dino feels the fear and adrenaline rush through his body. He's going to die, right here, right now.
"My friend is going to rescue me. And if I'm already dead by then, he will take revenge." Dino gets out with some huffs and puffs. He tries to intimidate them without giving some information away. But to Dino's surprise, Hyunjin smirks.
"We know he does." he says while releasing Dino from his grip. Panting, the brunette falls to the ground while the Australian picks him up again and bonds him to the chair once again. While his body is recovering from the almost-murder, his mind is racing. Do they expect Scoups to come and rescue Dino? Is this all a trap?

Scoups is walking through Dino's apartment with his hands in his hair. He's nervous, furious and stressed. He doesn't know if Dino is still alive and he doesn't want the brunette to go through any pain. But knowing Stray kids, his wishes probably won't come true. Scoups opens his laptop and starts typing, trying to find something. The black-haired male doesn't know what he's searching for, but there has to be something that might lead to Dino, right? Frustrated, Scoups slams his fist onto the table while he closes the laptop. He isn't going to find anything, maybe he isn't going to find Dino either. He hates the fact that he let Dino go like that. He shouldn't have pulled the brunette into this mess at the first place. A soft knock pulls Scoups out of his thoughts. Confused, he opens the door and revealed two adults standing in the hallway.
"Excuse me, is this Dino Lee's apartment?" the woman asks. Scoups blinks a few times before answering.
"Uhh, yes, I'm his roommate." he is able to get out of his mouth.
"Oh good, we finally arrived!" the woman states relieved and she embraces the male, who also is smiling right now.
"Im sorry but, who are you?" Scoups asks confused.
"We're Mrs. and Mr. Lee, Dino's parents. We come here to visit him. But don't worry, we'll only stay for a few days." the man says excited. Scoups stares at the two parents shocked, this is probably the worst time possible.
