Scoups looks at Dino's parents shocked. How is he going to explain the fact that their son is kidnapped and could be killed? And that it is Scoups' fault?
"I'm Scoups." the black-haired male says while shaking the parents' hands. Dino's mom is smiling the whole time, she must be excited to see her son again. Scoups' stomach drops while he realizes that he has to dissapoint them.
"Where is he?" the dad asks curious while they enter the apartment. Scoups chuckles nervously, maybe he should just tell them. The short pain is always way better. Unless...
"He's on a trip." Scoups blurs out. The parents look at him surprised.
"He is?" the mom asks. She's dissapointed already, Scoups doesn't want to imagine how she would've reacted if he told the truth.
"Uhh yeah! He left yesterday, you just missed him. He wanted to call you to tell you the news, but you guys didn't pick up." Scoups is glad that Dino has been really open with him, this makes the lying a lot easier.
"Oh god, looks like he did!" The dad says while he checks his phone, "We didn't notice. Maybe I should call him back." Scoups' eyes widen while he sees the dad clicking on Dino's name.
"No, don't!" he yells while he feels the phone vibrate in his back pocket. The parents look at him confused and decline the call.
"Wha- Why?" the mom asks. Scoups presses his lips into a thin line before answering.
"Dino said that his phone won't work there. And he will want to come back to see you, and you don't want to ruin his trip, do you?" Scoups explains, he prays that Dino's parents will understand and believe him.
"Oh, you might be right. We'll just stay here until he's back, is that okay for you?" The mom asks. Scoups wants to says no, to tell them that this is probably the worst time possible, but he only nods in agreement.
"Sure. You can have the bed, I'll sleep on the couch." Scoups says. The mom squeeks out of excitement(now Scoups knows where Dino got that from) and hugs him tight. Scoups stares at her in surprise, he didn't expect her to hug him, but he wraps his arms around her waist. He's glad that after all this stress, he finally can have some comfort. Scoups is sure now that he has to find Dino, not only for himself but also for his parents.
"Thank you, we appreciate it." The dad smiles and Scoups smiles back.
"Do you know when he gets back?" the dad asks and Scoups notices some similarities between Dino and his dad. Maybe, if his parents stay here with Scoups, the black-haired male will still feel Dino's presence. And he can also protect these sweet, kind people.
"I don't know, he didn't tell me." Scoups admits. At least he isn't lying about everything. Scoups just has to find Dino as quick as possible and everything will be allright.
"Why don't we sit down and talk for a bit?" Dino's mom suggests, "I would love to know what Dino has been up to since he arrived here." Scoups wants to decline and go search for Dino, but the mom is looking at him with such kind eyes that he has no other choice than to sit down and talk.
"How did you guys meet?" the dad asks curious.
"Dino joined my dance room. We had a bond almost immediately, he's a good kid." Scoups smiles thinking back at those times, when everything was normal. It looks so different from now.
"The dance room, I knew he would do something like that. It's a silly obsession he has." the dad says laughing. Scoups looks at him confused.
"What do you mean? Dino is really good, it's not an obsession, it's a passion." Scoups defends the brunette.
"He is? Oh, we didn't know. He never shows us his dances, it just looked like he never cares about it." the mom says quietly.
"Well, now we know." the dad comforts the mom.
"Sometimes I just feel like we are terrible parents, you know? Dino barely tells us new stuff lately, with that trip and the dance." The mom suddenly gets emotional. Scoups doesn't know what to do, it would be awkward if the mom suddenly would start crying.
"Hey, Dino is really happy with you guys! He's been busy lately, that's why he didn't tell you a lot. And I only know you for a few minutes and I can already tell that you are the best parents someone can ever imagine!" Scoups hopes that this will calm them down, he doesn't want anyone to cry.
"Thank you, son." the dad answers calmly. Scoups smiles and gets up.
"Sadly, I have to go. I am meeting my friends and I'm already late. Make yourself at home and take some rest, okay? I don't know yet when I will be back, so don't wait for me." Scoups informs the parents. They nod and get up as well.
"We are probably going to go to bed, we're tired. Enjoy!" The dad says while Scoups grabs his stuff. Dino's phone is still in his back pocket and he subtly takes the gun and puts it in his belt. Scoups really doesn't want the parents to find any of those objects. He leaves the apartment and rushes over to the dance room.
