Chapter 36

When Scoups left to see the doctor a few hours before, Dino decided to visit Seungmin again. The brunette felt like he had developed a bond with the other and he wanted to let Seungmin know that he will be there for him.
"Hey, how are you?" Dino asked friendly and Seungmin looked up and smiled when he saw Dino enter the room.
"I'm allright, although your friends still think of me badly", the brunette sighed. Dino smiled at him and sat down beside him.
"They just want to be careful," Dino comforted Seungmin, "have a little bit more patience."
"Easy for you to say", Seungmin answered. After a little bit of talking, Dino had suggested to go by his house to show Seungmin the world a little bit.
"I can still run away and tell Stray kids all the information I have received from you", Seungmin responded shocked.
"If you don't get killed by them on your way", Dino answered and Seungmin sighed.
"Fair point", the brunette said defeated. Dino smiled and they walked over to Dino's apartment together.

And now the two brunettes are staring at a girl and Scoups, who was close to getting shot. Dino can barely speak, he's too shocked. Seungmin has a sister? And that sister tried to kill Scoups? How did Dino not know this? Was he that bad in doing research?
"What are you doing, Caroline?" Seungmin asks, his tone surprises Dino. Scoups walks over to Dino and grabs his gun on the way there, luckily, he can't get shot anymore. Dino feels nauseous thinking about the fact that Scoups was almost shot twice.
"Are you okay?" Dino asks the black-haired male worried.
"I'm fine, just a little scared", Scoups whispers back and Dino lets out a relieved sigh.
"Caroline?" Seungmin asks again and Dino realizes that the girl still hasn't talked yet.
"Why are you always at the right place at the right time, brother?" she asks, her voice trembles from toxicness. These two clearly have a bad relationship.
"Just answer me, Caroline", Seungmin grits through his teeth and Dino is getting a little scared from the anger that's rising up inside the brunette.
"I was doing my job, doctors have to inform the police if they're treating a criminal", Caroline spits out while looking at Scoups. Dino clenches his fists, ready to defend his friend if he has to.
"And you aren't one yourself, then?" Seungmin asks and Caroline's eyes widen. She clenches her fists frustrated, but Dino can feel the fear waving off of her.
"How do you know?" she asks, trying to hide her fear.
"I have eyes everywhere, sister", Seungmin responds calmly while he crosses his arms in font of him.
"But don't worry," Seungmin adds, "I won't tell the cops anything, unless you snitch Scoups. So it's your choice." For a moment, the room is silent and Dino can hear his heart racing in his chest. Seungmin stares into Caroline's eyes while the woman is still deciding what to do.
"Fine," she says frustrated, "you got lucky on this one, brother." With those words, Caroline walks away grunting and Scoups let's out a relieved sigh.
"How did you know that she was a criminal?" the black-haired leader asks impressed.
"I didn't", Seungmin admits.
"What?" Dino asks surprised.
"I saw her hand trembling, her eyes were tired, so I guessed that she was doing drugs. And apparently, I was right", Seungmin explains himself.
"So you just guessed it?" Scoups asks and Seungmin nods proudly. Dino smiles, luckily, everything went well.
"This means that they're looking for me everywhere", Scoups mumbles and the black-haired male lets his head fall down a bit.
"Hey, we can get through this!" Dino tries to comfort his friend, but Scoups only sighs.
"What is Seungmin even doing here in the first place?" Scoups changes the subject.
"I uhh, I just wanted to show him around", Dino says nervously while he runs his fingers through his hair. Scoups sighs and massages his temples.
"You're lucky that he saved the day", Scoups says grunting and he walks over to his bedroom.
"I'm going to bed, goodnight", he says before closing the door.
"Is he mad?" Seungmin whispers concerned. Dino shakes his head in denial.
"No, he's just tired and scared from what just happened. It's freaky if you've just recovered from a shooting and you get a gun pointed at you right after", Dino defends his friend, but deep down, he knows that Scoups is worrying about a lot more. The brunette wishes that he could help him, but he doesn't know how.
"I'm afraid I'm going to have to get you back", Dino states after a brief silence and Seungmin sighs.
"Let's go then."
