Chapter 9

"Finally, he's sleeping." Wonwoo states while Scoups gently puts a blanket over Dino's body. The poor guy broke down in Scoups' arms and when the sobs died down, the brunette was already sleeping. So Scoups had no other choice than to put him in bed.
"He must be traumatized." Scoups mumbles. Deep inside, the black-haired male feels bad about the situation. They could've helped Dino.
"Do you really think that Stray kids has done this?" Wonwoo asks Scoups carefully when they sit down in Dino's living room.
"I don't know. You know what, I'll know soon enough." Scoups ignores Wonwoo's confused look while standing up and walking to Dino's bedroom.
"What are you-" Wonwoo gets interrupted by Scoups placing a finger against his mouth. Scoups makes a hushing sound and Wonwoo stares at him surprised. Scoups turns around and walks over to Dino, who's sleeping peacefully. The black-haired male carefully lifts Dino's blanket up and reveals Dino's skin by lifting his shirt.
"Those creeps were cutting into his skin. Maybe they wrote a message." Scoups explains to Wonwoo, who's standing next to him.
"Do you really think they would do that?" Wonwoo whispers surprised. Scoups doesn't get the chance to answer, because looking at Dino's revealed skin, the two males both gasp.
"What the fuck?" Scoups finds it hard not to yell. On Dino's skin is a word of only three letters written, or actually, carved: SKZ.
"I fucking hate those guys." Wonwoo states.
"Me too, I have to fight the urge to send them to hell right now." Scoups agrees. Sighing, the male places the blanket back and let's Dino sleep peacefully.
"We aren't going to tell him we saw that, right?" Wonwoo asks.
"No. He will open up himself if he wants us to know. But from now on, he's a part of our team. And we have to look after him. It won't be the last time someone's getting attacked, I can feel it." Scoups tells Wonwoo seriously.
"I hope that Stray kids gets caught soon." Scoups nods, he agrees.
"Make yourself ready, there is a chance we will have to kill." Scoups adds while the two males are once again sitting down in the living room.
"Do you really think it'll get this serious?" Wonwoo looks surprised, but Scoups has known all this time.
"I do. They have showed us what they're capable of. We cannot let this happen! We have to protect ourselves." Wonwoo nods, but Scoups knows the boy with the glasses is still unsure about all of this. For a while, the two males sit in silence, when suddenly, Scoups' phone starts vibrating.
"Hello?" Scoups picks up the phone.
"Scoups, you have to come quickly!" Jeonghan says at the other side of the line. Scoups can hear that the red-haired boy is devestated.
"What's wrong?" Scoups asks concerned.
"I can't tell you on the phone. I sent you an address, please come over as fast as you can." Scoups is starting to get pretty worried.
"Are you allright, Jeonghan!?" Scoups wants to know what he will see.
"Yes, I am fine." Jeonghan says, "but please come over." Scoups agrees and puts away his phone. He has never heard Jeonghan so desperate, this must be something really serious.
"Wonwoo, I have to go to Jeonghan. You'll stay here, Dino can't wake up alone, you understand?" Wonwoo nods and a few seconds later, Scoups has left Dino's apartment. Running, Scoups follows the GPS on his phone, he realizes that he's never been to this part of the city often. What could possibly have happened here? Scoups asks himself. He starts to worry this might be a trap, but even if it is, Scoups will never let a member down. If Jeonghan needs him, he will be there immediately. Exhausted, Scoups runs down the street he's supposed to be in. A few inches in front of him, he sees Jeonghan kneeling, next to someone laying down on the ground. Seeing Jeonghan's body shake slowly, Scoups notices the red-haired male is crying. Worried, Scoups runs over and kneels down next to him.
"Hey, what's the matter?" He asks concerned while wrapping his arms around the crying male.
"I just found him here, I think Dino wasn't enough." Jeonghan sniffs. Scoups looks over to the person laying on the ground and with a gasp, he realizes that the person is dead. There's a lot of blood, which makes it hard to recognize the person. Taking a closer look, Scoups can tell that this person was harmed badly, his eyes are cut, which makes him blind and he has several stabbing wounds.
"Horrible." Scoups whispers.
"Did Stray kids do this?" he adds. Jeonghan nods.
"I believe they did. We can be sure if we compare these wounds with Dino's. Because it happened in the same night." Jeonghan says quietly. Scoups sighs, Stray kids is going crazier and Scoups is starting to worry about his team.
"But why does it have to be two of us?" Jeonghan cries out. Scoups looks at him surprised.
"Two? Dino is the only one who got atta-" glancing over at the body, Scoups finally realizes it. It hits him like a bomb, knowing that he didn't recognize his own member.
"Oh god." Scoups gasps while placing his hand over his mouth. He will never forgive himself for letting one of his members get killed, and that he has failed to protect him. Clenching his fists, Scoups promises to himself that he will hunt down Stray kids until there is no one left, even if it takes his own life to do so.
