Hi guys! I know it's been literally MONTHS but I've been so busy with uni things that I didn't update the book. Very sorry about that but I'm happy to announce that I'm back to a (semi) frequent uploading schedule for Sweet Rhyme, Smooth Rhythms. I just finished placement 1 for year 2 of adult nursing and I only had 2 days off a week cuz of the shifts, but now that I'm back to lectures and seminars on campus for 3 or 4 days a week, I should be able to write more and therefor post more. I know I said I'd been busy with placement but I did manage to get a few chapters written, so until further notice I should be uploading every Monday around this sorta time :3

As you can probably tell by the title, this chapter is based on when Aryia and Kat played The Song Association Game on his channel. The chapter is shorter than others because as of me writing and posting this, the video isn't on Aryia's channel. I don't know if he'll bring it back with some of his older videos but if it does, just know that this was based on that video - and canonically to this story, Evra would essentially be Kat in that video. I apologize for my hiatus and how short this new chapter is but the next few are gonna be longer, so I hope you all look forward to reading the new parts :)

As always, feel free to leave a comment or review below or any predictions/ suggestions you have for the book

I hope you guys enjoy :D

Chapter song: Dance, Dance - Fall Out Boy

WARNINGS: None

"Evra! I thought of a really cool game for us to play!" Aryia announced from the living room.

"Hold on Ary, I've still got knots in my hair!" I called back to him.

"What're you actually–?" His question was stopped when he noticed me brushing my tangled tresses. "Oh my God, Evie~" He giggled

"It's not funny~!" I whined. "The knots won't come out!"

"Here." He smiled, taking his hand out of his front jean pocket and walking up behind me, taking the hairbrush and comb out of my hand so that he could brush my hair.

"You don't have to."

"But I wanna. Here, sit down."

I did as I was told as Aryia knelt on the bed behind me before he gently ran the brush through my hair, smoothing away the frizz and untangling all of my knots. I found myself soothed and rather surprised at the same time. Less than two minutes ago I'd been complaining about how difficult it was to comb out my tangles, but seeing how he was so willing to help out, I admitted defeat and caved into his offer. Besides, he was doing a pretty good job.

"You're really gentle." I complimented, relaxing my posture.

I saw him smile at this and he continued to untangle my hair.

"Well I don't wanna hurt you, do I?" He smiled.

My lips mirrored his as I sat in the comfortable quiet of the evening, knowing that he was right. "True."

Less than a minute later, he was done.

"There. All done." He smiled. I saw him in the mirror, looking at our reflections and smiling back at him before leaning back against his frame. As always, he was warm. Aryia kissed me on the head before setting the brushing utensils beside him and sitting next to me in a more comfortable position, letting out a small sigh as he relaxed and flopped down on the freshly-made sheets.

"Hey~ I just made the bed." I pouted.

He shrugged in apology. "Sorry, it's just really comfortable."

"Well it's a bed, it's supposed to be." I reasoned, receiving a smile. "Or is there another reason it's comfy?"
