Happy Monday everyone! (Again, it does NOT feel like it's been a week since I last posted lolol)

The good news is that I finished both of my essays, so I'm free to write some more chapters up! Woo!

In this week's chapter, Evra and the roommates celebrate Aryia's birthday and the two finally take their trip to Mexico - and if you can't tell by the title, yes, they do take a bath together, but it's cute and definitely the most wholesome part of this book so far (with even more to come :3). I based that scene off a LIVE stream that Aryia did when he actually went to Mexico in 2020 as I wanted to stay as true to a real-life timeline as possible (it's just that Evra's dating Aryia so there's a few differences in some stuff that happens and I'm writing about it lolol :3) so feel free to watch that if you wanna :)

I'm also including the song that he played during the start of said LIVE as it fits really well with the bath scene (and I also included it in the story too - which I played on repeat when writing this chapter to create that really wholesome scene between Aryia and Evra that I was just talking about. And fun fact: actually fits for the length of dialogue from when Aryia starts to play it until they discuss going home, so play the song when you get to the scene if you want the full "cinematic experience" lolol.

I hope you all enjoy this week's chapter :)

In the next two weeks, I continued to make arrangements for Aryia's birthday. Our Mexico trip was still going ahead as scheduled and he kept looking at the itinerary – 10 nights in Mexico with just the two of us, the sun and all-you-can-eat buffets for breakfast, lunch and dinner every day. The only difference with the flights was that we would have to wear face masks and do COVID tests before getting on the plane and coming home, but it was worth it considering that it had been a while since we had been abroad for vacation – even if Aryia was using part of this for work.

Since planning the trip, I had shopped for some cute swimsuits and bikinis online which had arrived a few days ago and although I asked Aryia to help me look for some in stores and online, I ended up doing it myself since I wanted to surprise him. Since restrictions had opened up some more, I had also helped Kévin fill Reggie's office space with a bunch of old photos of him as a kid. The job had cost just under $5 but it was fun to tease our roommate. I was also jumping at every opportunity to get out of the house during lockdown, even if it was just a trip to the supermarket for dinner or helping Cassie find some steaks for her anniversary with Reggie.

As planned earlier with Aryia, I had also given up working from home with my tuition job and I was so glad that I had to give some time back to myself and my relationship with my amazing boyfriend. Some of my clients had been annoyed when they heard the information but I told them that it would only be until the end of the year – so they weren't too disappointed. I had encouraged them to keep practicing with online tutorials to get better and had received some messages thanking me for the advice from parents on my work phone which I had turned off to relax properly.

When restrictions had lifted more – allowing people to go to public places – the five of us had taken a walk down to the park with Ronnie and shared a picnic on the grass. We had all made the day of it, preparing lunch the night before and heading out at lunchtime when the boys had finished filming and editing videos. We ate before Kévin did some cycling and Cassie made some daisy chains with Reggie and Ronnie since Aryia took me out on the lake on one of the swan pedalos available to rent which I found to be really sweet and romantic. After this, I had laid on the grass with Aryia, basking in the sunlight and how perfect our lives were together right now. He had brought his current read out with him – The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho; since he was really into his philosophy adventure stories – and I had taken a nap while he read a few chapters; finding extra comfort and warmth in the way that we were laid together as he brushed his fingers through my hair as we cuddled up together next to Ronnie and the picnic blanket.
