Hey guys... It's been a while huh?

Anyways, happy Monday!

I'm so sorry I've been gone for such a long time :( But I'm back now 😌👌🏻 It must have been like 3 months or something since I last updated the book but even that's too long! I'm really  sorry about not posting for such a long time, I was really busy with uni work but I'm back (permanently) now so I'll continue to post chapters weekly again until the end of the year/ until I finish Sweet Rhyme, Smooth Rhythms. I only have another 12 or so chapters left to write, so as soon as I get close to the end, I'll try and post a couple of chapters each week. This is actually what I'm doing this week as well. Both to make up for not posting in MONTHS and also because this chapter doesn't have much dialogue 😅

Either way, it's good to be back to posting and I will have the next chapter up on Thursday as a special treat for all of you :3

As you might notice when you scroll down, I've also updated the format of this book and added a song note beneath the summary. I've done this for all the chapters so far and I've made a Spotify playlist for the book as well which I'll link in the book description if any of you wanna save it ✌🏻😊

Again, I'm sorry for being gone for so long and as always, I hope you enjoy the new chapter 😊

Following the Family Feud game we had played against the C4 girls, I had a busy month helping Aryia with doctor's appointments and doing a few extra tuition sessions. Even though I decreased my workload to two days a week, I was getting more and more calls from clients asking for help with learning instruments, leading me to become busier than ever when I set a week apart purely for the purpose of gaining a bit of extra cash, deciding to close business temporarily once I was satisfied with people's performances as I really wanted some more time to breathe before we started on production for Aryia's movie. I had managed to make up my mind to continue my business on the side of YouTube as I had originally done pre-COVID, and after a hectic week of work, announced that after a week's break of making Candyland I would be back to tutoring on Monday and Tuesday evenings.

Reggie had also been busy during this time as following Valentine's Day, it was Cassie's birthday, though after Kévin had surprised me with a day of playing with and cuddling puppies in a playpen on the top of the studio roof, he had come up with the idea to buy her a dog which she had named Myla. We had been wanting a new addition to the house since Aryia had bought Rémy for me, and since none of us – especially me and Aryia – weren't ready for a baby yet, Reggie went with the next best option. Myla had settled into the house really well and became absolutely smitten with me and Aryia, also loving chasing Ronnie around the garden; the two becoming inseparable friends. I had never seen Reggie do anything so sweet for anyone – even after giving us those weird presents before Aryia and I went to Mexico the previous year. I didn't even get annoyed that Myla had been sleeping with us for the last week, although admittedly wished that she would sleep with her real human parents. Sure she was a sweet dog and all, but I had been busy planning work and helping Aryia with his projects. Not only that, but I could sense that Rémy was getting jealous that he wasn't getting as much attention; especially with all the photoshoots and prop-making we had been doing lately.

In between work I had gone back over the script with Aryia. Although I had read and checked over the script before, I was still surprised with how well written it was – not that I expected anything less of my boyfriend. We had to rehearse a forced kissing scene, as well as an argument scene, and while I wasn't too worried about the first one – since we liked to kiss quite a lot – I didn't exactly know how I would react to him forcefully stealing a kiss when I knew it was being filmed. Aryia had told me to just pretend that I was repulsed by it but after I said that I could never be repulsed by his kiss, he blushed. I had also confessed to him that the argument scene would be a hard one to shoot as we'd never really had an argument, just small tiffs that we had resolved with easy conversations and figuring out how the other was feeling. I also didn't know if I had the heart to shout at – or even pretend to shout and argue — with him.
