"Are you sure you're sure about doing this?" Aryia asked me a week later on a date. "Going on tour for a month while you're pregnant, I mean." He sounded serious as he held my hand at the table.

We came out to the ramen bar for breakfast because neither of us felt like cooking or eating any of the food we had at home. I knew we had to save money before tour, but it wasn't like eating out once before our month-long road trip was going to break the bank. Besides, the heat from the stove would make my blood pressure rise, and Aryia wanted to treat me anyway. So the best option that the two of us came up with was to eat breakfast at the ramen bar since that's what food I was craving when we left the house. Now that we were here and looking at the menu though, craving ramen was becoming a different story.

"Of course I'm sure," I told him, "besides, touring while I'm pregnant isn't my main worry right now."

"What's worrying you?" He asked, setting the menu he was holding down to one side.

"Just..." I paused, trying to come up with the best way to tell him what was on my mind, "it's not that I'm not worried about being on the road for a month while I've got a baby inside me, I just..."

My voice trailed off as a waitress appeared at our table "Hi there, are you ready to order?" She smiled.

"Uh... yeah," I said, taking the distraction as an opportunity to think of a better way to tell Aryia about what my main concern was. I knew what I was going to order anyway – even if I didn't feel like eating ramen anymore, "I'll have the miso cha-shu ramen."

"Okay, and what level of spice would you like?"

"Uhm, non-spicy please."

"Of course." The waitress smiled, jotting down my order. "And for you, sir?" She asked Aryia.

"Uh, I'll get the same."

"Of course. Any extra toppings for either of you?"

"Uhm... No thanks." I replied, knowing that I probably couldn't stomach half of the bowl now that I wasn't in the mood for ramen anymore.

"And can I get either of you anything to drink?"

"Just some water for me please."

"Same for me again, thanks." Aryia added when the waitress looked at him.

"Okay, coming right up." The waitress smiled, taking our menus and walking back behind the bar to ask the chef to prepare our orders while she got our drinks ready.

"So what's worrying you?" Aryia asked after the girl came back with our water.

"Well... I'm a bit worried about what my dad's gonna say."

"About the pregnancy as a whole or being on tour while you're pregnant?"

"The pregnancy." I answered, receiving a nod. "I mean, mom and dad want grandkids but they want me to get married first."

"What do you want?"

"I want to have this baby and not have mom and dad hate anyone for it."

"No, I mean... Do you wanna get married?"
