New week and of course that means a duo of chapters!!

I only have 15 chapters left of the book following this one and I only wrote one short chapter last week but I'm starting to write up the final three I have left so definitely look forward to them :3 Either way, I hope you all enjoy this new chapter :D

Two days after getting home from our tour, Aryia and I landed in Costa Rica with Benjamin Seda and his friend Marco, driving two hours from the airport to Playa Santa Teresa on the Pacific coast.

Despite Ben using this trip for work and potentially roping Aryia into a couple of BasedZeus videos I was excited for the trip. We hadn't been on vacation since Mexico – despite Aryia taking part in a work meeting on the first day of that trip – and I was looking forward to spending time with him in the sun, sea and sand.

I stared out of the window at the country's lush landscape, my head spinning from the early flight. I hadn't visited Costa Rica before and spending a week in paradise sounded like... well, paradise.

"This is the place." Ben announced as he pulled up in front of the sprawling, two-storey villa nestled high in the hills – but close enough to the beach. "Vacation stop number 1."

"Vacation?" I asked. "I thought you said this was for work."

"Well, no harm in catching the sun while we're here, Evra. Besides, you and Aryia are on vacation."

"Why bring us along anyway, Ben?" I asked as we all got out of the car.

"The trip was for four people. And you guys were free, so I offered." He shrugged.

"Well that was nice of you. But are you sure you don't have any ulterior motives for bringing us here?"

"Maybe one BasedZeus video. But you don't have to participate if you don't want to."

I sighed in relief, glad that we were being given a choice. Of course, he would give us the choice, he wasn't that heartless. But sometimes, Ben could be a little too ambitious with his content creation, and I didn't know how I felt about that. Sure, it was a good thing that he was passionate about what he did, just... he would sometimes get a little too deep into certain topics that he discussed with his followers.

"Anyway, let's get unpacking!" He announced, opening the car trunk and allowing us all to get our bags out of the car before we walked towards the entrance.

"Welcome... to paradise." He announced, unlocking the front door to the villa.

Ben showed the three of us around the villa. The outside walls were made of wood and were plastered and painted white on the inside, the windows were all floor to ceiling height, giving us a panoramic view of the surrounding hills and the Pacific ocean in the distance. Everything was open, airy and made of natural stone or wood – save for the fridge-freezer and the other electronics in the kitchen – and the house's design made it seem like it was a natural flowing part of the surroundings instead of a man-made hideaway. Ben also showed us the bedrooms which were similar to the rest of the house but all came with a luxury en-suite bathroom fitted with a toilet, floating sink, walk-in shower and even a bidet. Aryia and I were staying in the master bedroom as it was the only room with a – king sized – bed for two people, and that was all I remembered before I zoned out, completely in awe.
