Season 2 || The Kids

Season 2 begins! It's 3 years later now so the twins and Rina's son, Levan are three!! Toya is 18. Jac is 19 and the whole crew is about to head to New York for college. They waited a while. By the way, character updates. =)

Day: Thursday
Time: 9:30PM
Place: Home

I walked into the house. We still live with our parents. Only Rina lives on her own. I just came from dinner with Rina, her boyfriend, Daniel and Levan. He's getting so big. He's three now, just like the twins.

Jac is knocked out on the sofa and the twins are running up and down around the house. When they saw me they ran towards me. I bent down so I could hug them. "Hey babies. What happened to daddy?"

Alisa: "He fell asleep while reading to us."
Alana: "Yeah and it was just getting good."

I laughed and held their hands. "Come on..Time for bed." I took them upstairs and into their room. They ran to their beds and I tucked them in. I kissed their foreheads and stood in the doorway. "Good night. Love you."

Them: "Love you too. =)"

I turned off the light and closed the door. I went downstairs, hearing my heels click on the hard wooden floors. Jac was sitting up on the sofa, running his hands through his dreads. I stood in place at the bottom of the stairs. "What's wrong?"

Jac: "Come here."

I walked over to him and he pulled me onto his lap. Nope. We're not together. HA! We're only best-friends. I still love him but I doubt that after three years, he still feels that way.

He wrapped his arms tightly around my waist and pulled me close to him. "Now can you tell me what's wrong?"

Jacob: "Zonnique refuses to take care of the girls so she has to pay child support. I can't balance taking care of them and work...Now college."

We're leaving for college in New York in about a month. We decided from the 12th grade that we'd work for a few years before college. I turned sideways on his lap and rubbed his cheek. "I'm gonna help you. The kids are gonna be fine."

Jac: (kissing my forehead) "See...This is why I love you."

I think he means the friendly way so I'm not making a big deal out of this. "I love you too..Now get to bed. You've got work in the morning."

Jac: "But dad and Jazmine are away on business. Who is supposed to take care of them? They don't start school until we get to New York."

The kids are coming with us to New York. I stood up and pointed at myself. "I'm here to assist." He smiled and got up. He grabbed my waist and hugged me.

Jac: "What would I do without you?"
Toya: "Honestly, I don't know."
Jac: (chuckling and pulling away) "Whatever."
Toya: (laughing) "What time are you leaving for work in the morning?"
Jac: "Around 5AM. I have some things to catch up on."
Toya: "Oh okay..Well go get some rest."

He grabbed my hand and we went in the girls room.

Jac: (whispering) "You get Alana and I'll get Alisa."

I smiled and slowly lifted Alana out of her bed. Heavy sleeper. We walked out of their room, into his room and Jac laid them down in the middle of his bed. I took off my shoes, got on one side and he got on the other. He smiled at me and mouthed 'Goodnight.' I smiled and slowly drifted off to sleep.
