Road Trip (Part 3)

POV: Toya's
Day: Sunday
Time: 12:05AM
Place: Rest Stop

I walked out of the rest stop. I only went inside to get some coffee. We're almost there. We decided to keep driving until we get to New York. I was about to get in the jeep but I felt someone pull on my wrist. I turned around to see Jac. "What do you want?"

Jac: "To talk..to you."
Toya: "At 12AM?"
Jac: "Yes. I need to. You didn't quite understand what happened."
Toya: "I know what I saw."
Jac: "It's not what you think-"
Toya: "What the phuq you mean it's not what I think?! You kissed her!!"
Jac: "It was only on the cheek!! And that's because she's-"
Toya: "She's your what?! Your ho3! Who else does she sleep with, huh?!"

Next thing I know, I'm on the ground and my cheek is stinging. He slapped me, that hard. I looked up at him with tears in my eyes.

Jac: "Nobody talks about my family like that if they did nothing wrong. That girl was my cousin. Vanessa. But you're too stubborn to listen and you don't even trust me. Do you even love me?"

He didn't wait for my answer. He just walked off and got in his car, slamming the door. I got in the jeep and handed them the coffee. My cheek hurts... They both looked at me with concern in their eyes. I sighed and explained to them wait happened..Quietly though, because the twins were sleeping.

Bre: "You need to apologize and get your man."
Stina: "Yeah forreal."

"I know." I started up the engine and drove down the highway.

POV: Tevin's
Day: Sunday
Time: 5AM
Place: House

We're finally in New York so we went to the girls' house first. This is really cool. The twins have a room here too so they're gonna be back and forth. We just finished helping the girls unpack and the house is set up. I went to get some water from the kitchen and Toya was in there holding an ice pack up to her cheek. "What's wrong, Toya?"

Toya: "Mmmm mmm." (nothing)

I walked over and spun her towards me. "Tell me." She started explaining the whole situation and what she said to Jac about his cousin. Then he slapped her. Oh hell no! "Where is that mofo?!" I ran out of the kitchen and upstairs. Jac was in the twins' room. I guess they're sleeping here tonight. I pulled him out of the room by his collar and punched him right in the jaw.

Jac: "Ni66a, what's wrong with you?!"
Tevin: "YOU SLAPPED HER! (punch) ARE YOU OUT OF YO DAYUM MIND NI66A!"

I kept punching him until Issa and Trey pulled me off of him. He had a busted lip and a black eye. "Don't ever put your hands on her!" I got out of their grip and looked to my right. Nae was standing there in shock still with the ice-pack on her cheek. I gave her a bear hug and grabbed my car keys. "Whoever is riding with me better come now!"

I left with Trey in my car. Issa left in his and Jac was in his own car. He gotta be out his mind slapping my little sister. Ni66a better go somewhere else with that sh-t.
