My Apology

POV: Toya's
Day: Monday
Time: 1:45PM
Place: Photoshoot Set

I'm sitting down on the set of the photoshoot waiting to see the pictures. I just took some photos for a few pages in Essence magazine. My photographer, Dustin walked over to me with a copy of the pictures. "Nice.."

Dustin: "You did great. =)"
Toya: "Thank you. =)"
Dustin: "Alright..Now get up on out of here..I got Beyonce coming in."

I laughed and grabbed my bag, walking out into the parking lot. I called Bre, letting her know I'm on my way to pick up RJ. Bre works from home now, she handles all the affairs of her beauty salon branches.

I got in my car, put my bag in the passenger side, buckled up, started up the engine and drove off.

It took me about 30 minutes to get to Bre's place. I got out of the car and walked up to the front door. I rang the doorbell and Bre came to the door with RJ in her arms. "Hey."

Bre: "Hey..You look pretty. How was the photoshoot?"
Toya: "Thank you and it was great. =)"
Bre: "Good." (handing me RJ) "Be careful with my boo."
Toya: "Girl please."
Bre: "So where y'all off to?" (handing me his bag)
Toya: "Well..Jac called and asked me to get the twins so yeah."
Bre: "Oh wow."
Toya: "Yeah so I'll let you know how it goes."

We said goodbye and walked back over to the car. I got RJ in his car-seat, then I got in the front and drove off.

POV: Alisa's
Day: Monday
Time: 3PM
Place: School

I'm sitting down with my clique waiting on my mommy to pick me up. Daddy said she's coming for us and I can't wait! My teacher called me and Lana so we grabbed our things and walked towards her. She lead us out of the building and mommy was standing by her car. We ran over to her and she picked us up, hugging us. "Mommy!"

Mommy: "I missed you two so much!"
Alana: (wiping away mommy's tears) "We missed you too."

She helped us into the car and RJ had his hand in his mouth. We kissed both of his cheeks as she started driving.

POV: Toya's
Day: Monday
Time: 4:15PM
Place: Office Building

So I pulled up to the office building. He wanted me to bring the twins here. I held RJ as we walked inside. I went up to the front desk. "Hi. We're here to see Mr. Broadnax."

Secretary: "You and a bunch of kids? Are you filing for child support?"
Toya: "Look. Don't make me get ratchet-"
Deja: (walking up to us) "Hey Toya. =)"

I hugged her with one arm since I'm holding RJ. "Hey girl." She took RJ from my arms and kissed his cheek.

Deja: "You've gotten big. =)"
RJ: (laughing)
Deja: (looking at the secretary) "What's the problem here?"
Secretary: "This trick came in here trying to file child support on Mr.Broadnax."
Deja: "Girl. Are you out of your mind? He wanted to see her, fool. Why were you even hired?"
Secretary: (looking at me) "Sorry."
Toya: "It's okay."
Deja: (giving me RJ) "Go straight up, girl."

Deja hugged the twins then we headed over to the elevator. We went up to Jac's floor and walked out of the elevator. Before we got to the door, Alana tugged on my hand. "What's wrong boo?"

Alana: "Are you ready to see, daddy?"

I'm honestly not sure so I shrugged. Alisa knocked on the door and we heard, "Come in." so we walked in. I closed the door while the twins ran over to Jac. I faced him and we were just staring at each other.

POV: Jac's
Day: Monday
Time: 4:30PM
Place: Office

I stood up from my crouched position and faced Toya. It's been 2 months since I've seen her or RJ. I walked over to her and stuffed my hands in my pockets. "Hi."

Toya: "Hi."
Jac: "How have you been?"
Toya: "Could be better. You?"
Jac: "Same."
RJ: (reaching towards me) "Daddy!"

I smiled and took him from Toya's arms. I kissed his forehead and he stuffed his hand in my fro. I missed this. I looked at Toya who had a tear rolling down her face. She saw me looking so she put her head down. I tilted her head up and caressed her cheek. "I'm so sorry."

She started crying harder so I gave RJ to Alana and wrapped my arms around her.
