Right now, Jac, the twins and I are driving to Red Lobster to have lunch. He decided to take us there after we picked them up from Tevin's place earlier.

Alana: "Daddy, where are we going?"
Jac: "Red Lobster."
Alisa: "All lobsters are red."
Alana: "No fool... Red Lobster is a restaurant. Uncle Trey takes Auntie Bre there all the time."
Alisa: "Don't call me a fool!"
Alana: (raising hands in defense) "Sorry!"
Alisa: "Why do they go there?"
Alana: "Because they're dating."
Toya: "Wait..Lana, you knew they were dating?"
Alana: "Yeah."

And we didn't know. The hell? We pulled up to Red Lobster and Jacob and I helped the twins out of the . We went inside. "Uh hi. Table for 4."

Waiter: "2 adults. 2 kids." (grabbing menus)

He showed us to our tables and said our waitress would be right with us. We started looking through the menus. "Hmmmmm... I know what I want."

Jac: "Me too."
Toya: "What are you two getting?"
Alisa: "I can't decide..."
Toya: "When I was 12, I used to get the popcorn shrimp."
Alisa: "Was it good?"
Toya: "Very good."
Alisa: (grinning) "Okay!"
Toya: (laughing) "What bout you, boo?"
Alana: "Ummmm..Chicken Fingers."
Waitress: (approaching the table) "Hi..I'm Stacey and I'll be your waitress this afternoon. Can I start off by taking your drink orders?"
Jac: "Coke."
Toya: "Sprite."
Alana: "Sunset Strawberry Fruit Smoothie."
Alisa: "Cherry Wave Smoothie."
Waitress: "Do you want the regular salads or would you like appetizers?"
Jac: "Two orders of crab cakes would be nice."
Waitress: (winking at Jac) "No problem, cutie. I'll be right back." (walking off)

Alana: "I know that trick just didn't wink at my mommy's man."
Alisa: (laughing)
Jac&Toya: "=O"

She's learned well. "I was thinking the same thing." I looked at Jac who was scratching the back of his head awkwardly. Oh okay, he saw that. He grabbed my hand over the table and rubbed it.

Jac: "Stay calm."
Toya: "Oh I'm calm." (fake smiling)
Jac: "Stop.."
Waitress: (setting our drinks down on the table with the crab cakes) "Are you ready for me to take your meal orders?"
Toya: "Uh yes..I'll have the Wood-Grilled Southwest Chicken Sandwich with fries."
Jac: "I'll have the Sailor's Platter with broccoli."
Alana: "Chicken tenders with baked potato. Only butter on it though." (cutter her eye at the waitress)
Alisa: "Popcorn shrimp with fries. My mommy said it taste good."
Waitress: (writing down the orders and mumbling) "I didn't ask you that."
Alisa: (fake laughing) "But I was telling you that."

I love these kids. The waitress eyed Jac down and intentionally knocked his drink onto his pants and tried to play it off.

Waitress: (grinning and picking up a napkin) "I'm so sorry..Let me get that for you."
Toya: (standing up and slapping her hand away) "Oh hell no!"
Alana: (eating a crab cake) "It's about to go down."
Waitress: "Don't touch me!"
Toya: "Don't touch him." (pointing to Jac) "Him..Right there. He's mine. So back yo way on up, get the food and be glad if I don't whoop yo (looks at the twins) asstronaut up in this restaurant."
Alana: (finishing the crab cake) "It just went down."

The waitress hurried off and I sat back down.

Alisa: "She's an astronaut too?!"
Alana: "We learned about them in school."
Jac&Toya: (laughing)
Jac: "Yes..She's an astronaut too."

After a while the waitress brought our food without looking at Jac. Smart move. We ate and paid the bill. While we were walking out, Bre and Trey were walking in. Alana was right. They do come here.
