First Day At Work

POV: Toya's
Day: Monday
Time: 5:30AM
Place: Bedroom

I woke up due to my alarm playing "So Many Girls" by DJ Drama. I got up out of bed, made it up and grabbed my underclothes. I headed into the bathroom, took a shower, brushed my teeth and put on the clothes. I did my hair. It still looks curly. I walked out of the bathroom and put on a white camisole and deodorant. I sprayed on some perfume and then put on the work pants that I borrowed from Bre. I have to return her things after I buy some professional clothes.

I walked out to the kitchen and ate some toast, careful not to get messy. I washed my plate and went back into the room. I placed all my necessary things into the bag and slipped on my heels. I put on some jewelry including my birthday necklace and a little make-up. I put on the jacket, grabbed the bag and headed out of the apartment after turning off everything. I went downstairs into the parking lot and pulled out the keys to my jeep. I got in, started up the engine and drove off.

POV: Jac's
Day: Monday
Time: 8:30AM
Place: Driving

I just dropped the twins off to school and now I'm stuck in traffic. Today is my baby's first day at work so I wanted to be early so I could have time to show her around.

I got out of traffic about 30 minutes later. I'm late to my own office. I pulled up to the office, parking in my parking space. I stuffed my wallet in my pocket along with my iPhone and got out of the car. I walked inside hearing 'Good morning' from everyone, as usual.

I rushed over to the elevator and made my way to the top floor, the 15th. Once I got up there, I went straight into my office to see Toya sitting behind my desk on my computer. "Good morning, baby."

Toya: (standing up quickly)
Jac: "It's okay.." (sitting down and pulling her onto my lap) "How was your morning?"
Toya: "Good. Yours?"
Jac: "A little hectic due to the traffic but still good."
Toya: "You need me to get you anything like coffee or-"
Jac: "Nope. I'm good. Now what were you looking at?"
Toya: "I was studying information on Biggie Smalls."
Jac: "You still do Music History?"
Toya: "Whenever I have the time to."
Jac: "Same old Toya."
Toya: "Yes sir. Are you sure there isn't anything you want me to do?"
Jac: "Well..You can check if there's any paperwork for me at the desk out there."
Toya: "Sure."

She was about to get up but I pulled her down and kissed her. When I let her go she blushed and left. Working with my baby.. This should be fun.

POV: Toya's
Day: Monday
Time: 4:20PM
Place: Secretary's Desk

Today has been really fun. Jac showed me around the building that I did not know was so big and it's fun being his assistant. The job requires a lot of moving throughout the building but I love it.

Right now, I'm at the secretary's desk talking to my new friend, Deja. She's from Dallas.

Deja: "Girl, you started working here at a good time."
Toya: "What do you mean?"
Deja: "Well about two years ago..After Mr. Brodanax won the lottery and opened the company. He was a mess. A moody mess. One minute he'll have all the windows covered in his office and he's sad. The other minute, he's yelling at workers."

Two years ago. I have a strong feeling this has to do with me. "Dang.."

Deja: "Yeah...He'd always say it has to do with someone he loves. He wouldn't say anything else."

I need to talk to Jac.
