Chise sat across from the teacher, her hair was pulled half up, her makeup soft and light. She dressed professional in a black sundress, covering her tattoos. The male teacher sighed, "Haru has been late seven days this month..."
The woman sighed, "I know Mr. Himura. I'm sorry, it's just been difficult to manage lately."
"What can we do to help?" He reached a hand out and gave hers a soft squeeze, "Haru is a brilliant student. He just doesn't know which direction he wants to go."
She wanted to recoil from his hand, as if she'd been bit, but refrained, "Please just be patient. Things are finally settling down." She released his hand and stood, "I'll talk with him. Thank you for everything."
"Have you thought about my offer," he gave her a sly smirk, "I would still love to take you out sometime."
"I appreciate the offer," she opened the door, "but I need to focus on my brother currently. I hope you understand."
________
It had been a week since he first visited. Once he had told Shigaraki her ability, he was instructed to keep an eye on her. To see if she would be friend or foe. While he wasn't one for orders, she was entertaining enough.Tonight she donned a backless, black halter top and faded jeans. Her hair was in it's messy waves but pulled half up as she set out beers, chatting with the customers. Her green eyes landed on him as he sat down.
She leaned on the bar in front of him, placing a beer on the table, "Welcome back."
His blue eyes pierced through the darkness of his hood as he reached for his beer, "Thanks."
She noticed the bandage on his hand, "Run into trouble?"
"Something like that."
"Chise," one of her regulars called out, "What's your take?"
She sighed and turned around, "On what?"
"Heroes."
This peaked Dabi's interest, making him lean forward. Chise opened her own beer, "We've been over this Yukki, I think it's all bullshit. At the end of the day, good or bad, everyone is selfish in the end."
The silver haired man named Yukki chuckled, "Sounds about right."
She took a long drink, "I just wanna work my bar, and put my brother through school. I don't care about their pissing contest."
This amused Dabi greatly. She was realistic. Not one of those hopeless women who wanted sunshine and rainbows. She knew it was a cruel world and it was full of bullshit. The brother could be an issue though...getting her to possibly join their cause might be tough with him present. Or, it could be the perfect leverage. Something he would have to keep in mind.
He watched her work quietly. Making idle chat, cleaning glasses and assisting patrons. Sadly tonight no one started a ruckus, so things happened as usual. Before he knew it, it was almost three in the morning, after her last call. He sipped his beer quietly, not sure how many he had drank.
"You can take your hood off now," Chise wiped down a nearby booth, "No one else is here." He pulled back his hood quietly. Chise tilted her head and took in his appearance, "I figured it was you."
"You watch the news I assume," he scoffed.
"Sometimes," she continued cleaning, "just don't bring your shit to my bar."
"You think it's safe to bark orders?"
She walked up to him meeting his gaze easily, "Yeah, I do. You might scare the people out there, but you don't scare me."
"I could turn this entire place to ash in an instant." He leaned into her face, "But you're a nice ass to look at."
Chise laughed softly, "Is that a compliment?"
He scoffed with a smirk and finished his beer, "As far what I do...I'm merely exposing a severely flawed system."
"Someone has to." She walked around the bar and disposed of his empty bottle. She placed a shot glass on the bar, pouring it with straight vodka, "have one on me."
He paused for a moment before taking the shot. As soon as it hit his lips, he couldn't move his body, no matter how hard he tried. His eyes landed on Chise, her hand reached up and took the shot glass, pouring another one.
"I want to make something clear. I don't care who you are or what you do," she took the shot, "at the end of the night, just pay your tab."
She poured another one as her quirk let him go. Turning, she walked around the bar and pulled down the shades. Dabi took the shot and laid his money on the table, "Thanks for the entertainment."
Chise smirked, "Anytime."
When the door closed, she locked it and yawned, finishing her cleanup so she could go to bed.
________
"What is your assessment," the pale man leered around the hand on his face. They were currently sitting in the designated bar, planning their next move."There is one item that could be an issue, but, I'll need to gain trust first," Dabi leaned back into the musty booth.
"Is she pretty," a blonde girl grinned, "I bet she would be great to slice up..."
The pyro sighed, growing annoyed with the sound of the girls voice, "Anything else?"
"Yes," Shigaraki addressed the room full of villains, "Tomorrow, Class 1-A will be taking their trip. We move this weekend to gather Katsuki Bakugo."
"I still think it's a bad call," Dabi sat up and met grey eyes, "He's a loud mouth brat who already thinks he's a hero..."
"You'll do as I say," Shigaraki glared down at him, "remember your place here..."
Blue eyes scanned the room before he scoffed, "Remember you need us." He stood and walked out of the bar, heading down the street. It would be dawn soon, he was tired and annoyed. He knew this plan was going to fail. That spoiled twisted brat would cry and whine for days. His other annoyance: those fucking green eyes, and that tone in her voice as she held him with her quirk.
