Intruder

The end of summer was here, bringing cool nights and rain. Chise hadn't seen Hawks since that day, but, she had seen on the news where Overhaul had been captured. Another league member had been killed. Twice. It broke her heart. While he was odd, he never made a move to harm her. Toga was probably taking this hard. She hoped the young girl would be okay.

The only news she got of Dabi, was what came on the screen her green eyes were currently on. A darker side was beginning to show as he grew bolder in his work. He wanted to be feared by the public for the monster he was made to be. He didn't scare her, but she found herself in fear for him more than anything.

The city was turning on its heroes, slowly but surly. All Might was no more, leaving his quirk in the hands of a young boy. Chise hated seeing the kids on the screen, fighting adult battles. It made her stomach churn. One of them would wind up dead at this rate.

She stood and turned off the tv as the rain pelted against the windows of the apartment. It was late, and she needed rest. Lately sleep had eluded her, leaving her staring at the ceiling until the sun peeked through the windows.

She slipped on the night shirt and crawled into the welcoming, cool sheets, laying back against the pillows. A sigh left her as her eyes stayed fixed on the white ceiling above her, instead of closing. She wasn't sure if she had laid there for minutes or hours when something caught her attention: movement.

She carefully slid out of bed, grabbing the dagger from between the mattress and box spring. The floor felt cool on her feet, as did the air around her. Great, the rain knocked out the power, she thought as she crept forward to the hallway. Her green eyes peered into the darkness. She knew someone was in there, it was just too dark to see.

As she made her way into the living room, a sound behind her caused her to spin around in a flash. The dagger in her hand pressed against the throat of her intruder, her eyes fought to focus so she could activate her quirk. A strong hand twisted the dagger from her grasp and spun her around, "What's the matter? Can't see?"

She felt her heart race, "Obviously not, it's pitch black in here," the hold on her softened, "Why would you be sneaking around?"

"I needed to see if you were paying attention," his voice was low in her ear, his breath hot on her skin, "I can't have you getting relaxed. Not yet."

She heard the knife land on the nearby counter, the other arm around her still had a grip, refusing to let her go. Instead of fighting to turn around, she relaxed, "Don't worry, I'm not."

"I'm sorry, for such a long time," the warmth rested against her shoulder tiredly, almost encompassing her.

Chise carefully rested her arms over his and smirked, "I'm not sure I forgive you."

Her smirk turned into a smile when the grip on her tightened, a chuckle rumbled from his chest, "Still a bitch."

"You're one to talk," she closed her eyes, "So, why are you here?"

There was a long, heavy pause before he answered, "I needed to sneak away."

"Liar."

She felt his grin against her skin, "Chise, don't be a brat."

Before she could retort, she was spun around and pulled against him in a mind numbing kiss. It had been six months, and still a fire swept through he when they collided. Her hands rested on his shoulders as his roamed her person, taking their time. His touch was so incredibly gentle and warm, she almost wondered if it was actually him.

He pulled his lips away and rested his face in her neck. He had needed this like his lungs needed oxygen. Truth be told this was the longest six months of his life. He craved her. All of her. Her voice, her smell, her touch, her mere presence, every bit of it. With all of the work he had been doing, he felt his humanity slipping. While he wasn't opposed, one things had kept him almost grounded: her.

Chise held him quietly, stroking his hair, allowing him a moment of peace. Dabi took in a long breath and tightened his hold, afraid she was just another one of his restless dreams. Her voice was soft, comforting, "What can I do?"

"I don't need you to do anything," he placed a lingering kiss on her neck. "You never have to do anything."

He slowly made his way to her lips, capturing them in a soft kiss. Her back made contact with the cool wall as his lips slid down to her neck, nipping and kiss her exposed collarbone. Her green eyes closed as a sigh left her. When his lips met hers again, they were hungry. He had to have her, all to himself.

His hands slid up her waist, softly running over her skin. The sensation sent goosebumps through her body. He swiftly pulled her night shirt over her head, throwing it god knows where as his lips continued their sweet torture.

A moan escaped her lips when his tongue brushed her breast. He grinned against her skin when he felt her back arch into his grasp. There was no making it to the bed when her lips let out a shaky sigh. Her hands tossed his damp shirt aside as their skin met, sending another wave of fire through her blood. His hands moved in a frenzy to undo his belt as her lips nipped his skin.

The sound of rain mixed with breathless moans filled the night air. Their hips desperately melded together on the living room floor as he pounded into her. Chise arched her back, sending him deeper, smirking when a moan rumbled from him. He was quick to return the favor, moving harder against her.

He poured into her, meeting her lips in a series of breathless kisses. Fuck he had missed this. Missed her. Chise caught her breath  and wrapped her arms around him, pulling his head to her chest. His brilliant eyes closed, listening to her pounding heart as it slowed itself down, relaxing in its lullaby.
