Chise opened her eyes, feeling movement against her face. She was met with smooth skin, not Dabi's scarred chest. Her heartbeat quickened slightly, being so close to him. His hand reached up and stroked her hair, "Relax," his voice was drowsy, filled with sleep, "You're alright."
Dabi nuzzled into the back of her neck, breathing deeply, "Go back to sleep."
"He's such a bully," Hawks whispered. You could hear the smirk on his mouth. Chise smiled, relaxing in his humor.
Dabi reached around and flicked him on the forehead, "Hawks."
Chise looked over her shoulder to see stunning blue eyes sleepily glaring. She sighed with a smile, "Dabi, be nice."
He rolled his eyes and settled back into the pillow, pulling her tight against him. Hawks pouted, scooting closer for her body warmth. They were really like two children, fighting over a stuffed toy.
When her eyes opened again, Hawks was sleeping on his back. Dabi was gone. Dawn was slowly breaking as she sat up. Her eyes drifted to Hawks' exposed chest, taking in the various scars. Her hand reached out carefully tracing a faint red line on his shoulder.
"That was my first assignment," his golden eyes fluttered open, "I got cocky."
"You?" She smirked, "Hard to believe."
He moved her hand to a scar on his rib cage, "This one was a couple of years ago. Stabbed point blank during what was supposed to be a routine patrol."
Her hand moved to one on his chest, "This one?"
He thought for a moment, "That one was me. I was learning my quirk." He chuckled, "Felt pretty dumb getting stitched up."
Chise reached up, feeling the scar on his cheek, tracings it down to his neck, "This one."
"Dabi," he looked at her, "when I killed Twice." He sighed, "I didn't want to, but, I had no choice."
"Did it hurt?"
"Which part?"
"Dabi," she sat back on her knees.
Hawks sat up slightly, resting against the headboard, "Yeah, it did. I had to use a respirator to get my lungs functioning properly again. My wings were fried. Not to mention this nice reminder that he doesn't play favorites."
He reached up, moving the collar of the oversized nightshirt she wore. His finger softly ran over the bullet scar in the shoulder, "This was..."
"Yeah," she cleared her throat, looking away.
He pulled her to him, "Chise, if I could go back and change it..."
"I know," she took a breath, "me too. But, Haru would be so disappointed in the city right now."
"I promise, I'm going to make it a city he would be proud of," he stroked her messy waves, "I'll make sure I keep you out of harms way, like he would want...I just need you to give me an honest chance."
It was this moment she could see how pure his heart was. He genuinely wanted to make the city a better place, keep her, and it's people safe. She leaned foreword and kissed his forehead, "I'll do my best."
A blush settled on his cheeks, "O-oh, Dabi said he'd be back tonight."
"He didn't say where he went, did he," sigh rolled her eyes when he shook his head no, "Of course."
He patted the pillow beside him, "It's too early."
Chise chuckled and laid back down. He pulled her closer to him, leaned his head back on the headboard. She draped an arm over his waist as he pet her hair, "Are you not going back to sleep?"
"I will," his golden eyes closed, "Sometimes I have pain where my wings are coming back in. It'll dissipate soon."
"Is there anything I can do to help," she looked up at him.
"Nah, get some rest. You haven't been sleeping well," he eyed her. Chise snuggled up to him and closed her eyes once more.

Dabi returned when the sun had set. Everything was in place. All ends tied up as they should be. He leaned on the outside of the apartment, taking a drag off of his cigarette. Hawks had left not long ago, going on patrol in the area to keep things under lock and key.His eyes stayed on her as she read quietly. She almost glowed in the dull light of the lamp in the living room. Her hair was still damp from her bath, the large button up shirt exposed her perfect collarbone.
He strode into the living room, closing and locking the back door behind him before he b lined for her. He couldn't take it anymore as he pulled the book from her grasp and pulled her to him in a deep kiss.
Chise fought to catch her breath as her back hit the wall. His kisses were demanding, desperate, as his hands ran underneath her shirt. Chise pulled from his kiss, panting. Green met a blazing blue before they connected again.
His hands tore open the buttons of her shirt, well, his shirt, as his lips moved down her neck, relishing in the taste of her skin. Her hands wound into his hair as her eyes closed. His lips felt like fire moving back up her neck and to her ear, "Chise."
"Yes," she nuzzled into his cheek.
"Come to bed with me," he nipped her ear, "I need you to myself."
"Of course," she placed small kisses along his jawline, "I'll always go to bed with you."
His skin was warm in her touch as she peeled his shirt off of his body. His mouth ravaged her bare skin as her back arched into his heavy touch. He wasn't sure what had come over him, but, he was desperate to meld with her. He needed her, needed this closeness, and the way she made him feel.
A soft moan escaped her mouth as his lips found her breast, continuing his ravaging of her skin. Her hands gripped into his hair as he nipped the sensitive skin. His fingers plunged into her, he smirked against her when a whimper left her lips. Fuck he loved the sounds she made.
He tore the rest of his clothes from his body and was back on her on almost an instant. Chise moaned into their kiss as he pushed deep inside of her, pausing briefly. Dabi ran his hands to her hips as they began to move deeply against one another. It would be a sleepless night for both of them.
