Chise sighed as she adjusted the blindfold over her eyes, "Dabi are you sure this is-"

"You promised," came his voice in her ear.

She frowned, "I promised to trust you."

"So shut up and trust me."

He had led her for a while, through what she assumed was back streets and alleys. Her body was still tired, his jacket was heavy on her shoulders, but shielded her from the cold night. Her brows furrowed as the temperature around her changed. His hand pulled her forward and down what she felt was a hallway. It was interesting how her other senses kicked in when her eyes were incapacitated.

A door shut behind her and clicked itself locked. His hands snaked around her neck and removed the blindfold, tossing it aside. He removed the jacket around her as well. Her green eyes adjusted to the dimly lit apartment, looking around.

"Where are we?"

"Somewhere safe," he sighed, "You're not allowed to leave, am I clear?"

"Sure."

"I'm serious," he studied her, "No one knows where this place is and I'm taking a big risk..."

"Fine," she hugged her arms close to her.

"Come on," he led her down a darkened hallway and opened the door, "You can rest in here. I need to keep up appearances." She nodded as he moved past her, stopping briefly, "Keep this door locked at all times."

"I will."
_______
"Well, look who decided to show up," Shigaraki snapped, "empty handed....."

Dabi sighed and placed his hands in his pockets, sizing him up, "I'm really not in the mood for you..."

"Where is Chise?"

He shrugged, "Maybe dead. I wasn't able to get my hands on her."

Toga sighed, "That sucks..."

Compress studied his coworker, "You seem rather...level about it."

If his eyes could cut through a human, they would have, "I'd watch myself if I were you...I'll burn your other arm off." As if on queue, his phone rang, "Yes?"

He handed the phone off briefly and the portal opened. He took a deep breath before stepping through. In an instant he was lifted off of the ground, "You know, I don't like cat and mouse games."

He smirked, "Then stop initiating them."

"Where is she," AFO leaned towards him.

"I already said I don't know," Dabi held his gaze, "They were over prepared...maybe if you had let me move before then, they wouldn't have had time to be so organized."

AFO roughly set him down, "I'm tasking you with bringing her to me."

"Why?"

"Because, I have plans..."

Dabi scoffed, "You think that's gonna fly?"

"Dabi," he sat as his desk, "you've gotten attached, haven't you?" He narrowed his blue eyes, making the other man chuckle lowly, "Tsk tsk. I thought you said you hated cat and mouse games."

"Watch it," his blue eyes narrowed dangerously.

"I'm not going to kill her," he relaxed against his chair, "Merely talk about a few possibilities."

"When I find her," he opened the door, "you'll be the first to know."

Chise stared at the ceiling. She wasn't sure what she was doing here. Her hair was still slightly damp from her shower. After digging through the drawers she found a shirt and sweatpants, then forced herself to crawl into the dark sheets of the bed.

Her mind landed on Dabi. He had been acting somewhat different since her rescue. While he still had his commanding attitude, he seemed slightly more attentive. His eyes seemed somewhat different than his usual cold glare. Her green eyes began to get heavy, her body begging her to rest.

He huffed locking the door. He had to take the long way, just in case he was being followed. Compress didn't seem to buy his story, and he wasn't in the mood to take chances. He paused listening for movement. She was asleep. He opened the bedroom door to see her buried into the pillows, her breathing even and deep.

After his shower, he laid back on the black leather sofa, formulating his plan. Chise going to AFO wasn't happening. He refused. She was intel, not an experiment. That twisted fuck was planning something. Dabi pulled out his phone, dialing, "Hawks, I need a few favors..."
________
Green eyes snapped open, checking her surroundings. Slowly sitting up, she stretched her stiff muscles and ran a hand through her messy waves.

Coaxing her body to move, she made her way into the living room to see a glaring Dabi, "Who said you could wear my clothes?"

"I did," she rolled her eyes, "is that an issue?"

"It might be," he stood.

"If you have such a fucking issue then I'll gladly leave." Chise crossed her arms, "This was your idea."

He stepped closer, "I'm really not in the mood-"

"I'm not either," she snapped.

He reached out and jerked her to him, "I'm serious."

She glared at him, "I am too. You're not going to drag me somewhere and be a jackass." Chise could see amusement in his tired eyes. He was exhausted, "You haven't slept at all have you?"

"It doesn't matter."

"Yes, it does," she sighed a ran a hand through his slightly damp hair. He made a move to argue, but she pulled his lips to hers in a soft kiss, "Are you done?"

"Yes," his voice was soft, slightly surprised. She made a move to step away, but his arm around her stopped her, "Do it again."

Chise didn't hesitate as her lips met his again in a deep, slow kiss. Their lips stayed together as her arms wrapped around his neck. His arm tightened, keeping her against him as he kissed her deeper. In this moment, she made all of it stop. The plotting, the planning, the stress...all of it.

He pulled her down with him, her legs on either side as their lips collided again. His warm hands ran along the skin of her back, underneath his shirt that was on her person. Chise pulled her lips away and tugged his shirt, "Take it off."

He didn't think twice swiftly removing it, meeting her lips hungrily. His hands gripped her thighs as her hands drifted over his warm skin. A frustration washed over him as he realized he was unable to move. Chise chuckled and kissed his cheek, "Relax," she leaned into his ear, "come to bed with me."

He felt her release him and ran his hands into her hair, pulling her lips to his once more, "Okay."
